Tough choice but am I glad I went with BMW

I have an occasional need to carry some items that won't fit inside my BMW X5. I always wanted to get a nice roof rack for my previous cars but never have. I looked at some really nice aftermarket non-BMW systems that were 1/3rd the price after delivery. After thinking about it and the fact I just got my new X5 I ended up pulling the trigger on the authentic BMW system.After trying them I could not be more pleased. I am a geek engineer and just love great design. The cross-bars and incredible fit as look great on the car. They supply a neat torque wrench and all of the metal parts seems to be either stainless steel or aluminum. Of course they fit perfect as they are made to the shape of the existing roof rack and line of the car.They have built in covers that swing down and lock securely with a key. AND I hate to admit it the covers are imprinted with a nice BMW logo over each end that go well with the car. The front bar even includes small air foils on the underside that is supposed to dampen wind noise with the moon roof open. They are formed into the aluminum.Anyway I love them!!

A beautiful acoustic that's a step above!

Our nonprofit, Guitars in the CLassroom, receives donations of guitars for use with the teachers we instruct; among those we receive, Godin provides us with the best guitars from the companies who support us, Kaman, Martin (yes, Martin!), Saga, etc. This B20 just came back from a teacher to whom we had loaned it for her use in the Classroom with her students, as she has now purchased her own - probably not as amazing as this loaner was! When I played it, I was blown away with the power and tone....and the construction detail was superb (and I assume we are getting Blems or 2nds....but I can't tell what the defect might be.) Buy one of these, and revel in what a true large acoustic can do for both group singing and recording. What a sweet guitar! Thanks Godin....Doug Bowers, Tucson, AZ

Most reliable instrument I ever bought

It was July of 2006, my band was about to play a show and my main guitar was falling questionably out of tune during songs at practice, so I went on a quest to get something new, that's when I stumbled across this guitar I knew nothing about, a c-1 Schecter Hellraiser. Mahogany body and neck with a carved maple top, nice arched fret board with a great feel to the neck, and powerful EMG pickups give this guitar an awesome punch. The 25.5 scale makes this PERFECT for detuning without any string flapping.My experiences with this guitar, I have nothing bad to say about the guitar, other than the fact that when I wasn't using it live in favor of another guitar, I paid dearly, but the second I plugged the Hellraiser in, not a bad show, not flying out of tune, just very dependable.A lot of people will frown on the Mahogany wood choice, but I've dropped this several times, (thrown once during a rock star temper tantrum) and the guitar keeps on ticking, and most importantly, the red finish still looks gorgeous!I am so glad I took a chance on this guitar, it feels like no other import I have ever played and Schecter has done a great job with the Hellraiser series.

Extremely fun to play!

I firmly believe that buying a better/different/new guitar wont make you a better player; but, buying a guitar that makes playing and practicing more fun, most definitely will improve your playing ability!I shopped around for this exact guitar model online and offline, it had a combination of the electronics i wanted, with a body style that screams bad-ass, without looking goofy or akward. I had been wanting a Schecter for a while, and had been trying to decide between this model, and another near identical looking model that had different pickups (the Schecter Blackjack with Seymour Duncan AHB-1 Blackouts).In the end, those two guitars being identical in price, only difference being one has EMG's and one has SD's, i opted for this model because I wanted the somewhat compressed sound of the EMG's over the slightly more natural sounding blackouts.I didnt buy blindly, i played both models at my local Guitar Center, and bought the one that fit my play-style, and musical preferences the best.The natural harmonics just seem to jump out of this guitar, and the sustain is awe-inspiring.The only thing that the blackouts did better than the emg's were pinch harmonics/squeelies. this guitar does pinch harmonics well, it just requires a bit more pick-accuracy.The thing i just realized after 3 days of almost constant playing is that this guitar stays in tune so inredibly well, even after all of my aggressive bends and rhythm heavy riffs.i wish i had bought this model when it first came out, i would have saved alot of time looking and hunting for that perfect heavy metal sound"*note* The Schecter Hellraiser C-1's currently being manufactured new dont have the same pickup configuration as this model. This model (the older version) has an EMG 81, and an EMG 85. The new model has two push/pull coil-tap pots, and the pickups are an EMG 81 and 89TW.i personally like this version better, it is great for lead, rhythm and shred. the newer model is supposedly better for soloing leads, and can be played as a single coil, which doesnt really matter to me

The best metal guitar in its price range and beyond!

Got this guitar after trying it out in a store, i must say, glad i did. I have been a musician for about 14yrs and this is the best sounding guitar for the money and beyond. Keep in mind, i have owned over 20+ guitars in the last 14 years: Ibanez, Schecter, Epiphone, Fender, PRS, Hamer, and the list goes on and on. This is the best one yet! Now keep in mind that its about what your using it for as well. Personally i think this guitar can smoke a $3000.00 PRS when it comes to playing metal with tight distortion (PRS's get kinda muddy i think), where as a fender with lace sensor single coils might be better suited if your looking for light jazz or blues. But lets face it... you don't buy a Porsche for soccer practice and you don't buy a Mini-van for racing. With a name like "Hellraiser" this is obviously bred for metal and hard rock!

bad chair

please do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this product. I love the swing and highly recommend the brand but this seat is a waste. I have twins and currently own 6 bouncy seats. These are by far the WORST product that I have come across from FP. I think as adults we look at it and think "Hmmmm fluffy and comfy -- if I was a baby thats where I would want to be". There are two main issues with this chair1. most babies (7 of the 8 I know) grow out of this in three months2. the vibration turns off after 15 minutes and most babies wake upbuy the Sensory Selections bouncer by FP. I am still using it 6 months later. Everyone that bought the papasan chair that I know is upset at the high cost and low functionality. Two other mommys subsequently bought the Sensory selections oneTry to find a used one if you really think that it is great. The whole thing is washable so you don't have to worry about cleaning another kids germs offI agree with the other parents who stated that you should actually get one that bounces and has toys. I think most of the people who gave five star reviews on this have brand new babies still. My kids both hated it after 3 months and they were under 5 lbs so it was still roomy enough

Better than a bouncy seat for newborns!

It is really interesting to read some of the negative reviews on a seat that after my second child I decided is one of my "must haves". I think it depends on what you expect out of the seat. I plan to use it only for the first 3-4 months as it is an infant seat and not a bouncer. But for those first couple months it is where my 2nd and 3rd babies spent a great deal of their time either sleeping or gazing around. Most (but not all) bouncy chairs have too much of a recline or a dip for a newborn baby. The papasan seats fit newborns so well, and you can even snuggle them in by tucking a blanket around both sides between the main seat area and the pillow. My colicky son was actually content in his papasan chair at least 50 % of the time. He was also refluxy, and it gave him the perfect sleeping spot many a nap and even bedtime. I love how easy it is to move around, even with baby in it,(not recommended, but we did it often), and that I can put it on the floor or even in the crib when my babies are little. It's easy to wash, folds down pretty flat, and is nice and sturdy.I actually like the 15 minute timer as it is usually is enough to lull baby to sleep or back to sleep if they start stirring, without worries of it completely eating up the batteries. Although, it would be nice to have a 2 or 3 setting timer. Like 15 min, 30 min, and 45 min. Not enough of an issue to stop me from loving it.I guess having different expectations might make a difference in whether one likes it or not. I love mine enough that I eventually bought a second, one for downstairs and one for upstairs.

Great for babies

Our daughter is over four months old and I think this is a fantastic product that she has enjoyed and continues to enjoy her entire life (of over four months). It was a good variation from the swing and she fell asleep in it very easily when she was very small. Even at a larger age, she seems to enjoy it. What's best about it is it's small and maneuverable so you can take it with you into different rooms, or even by the kitchen table so you can watch your baby sleep while you eat. The music is sleep-provoking for the baby. We live in LA, and I didn't have a problem with the cloth fabric for hot weather. Because she was little she didn't notice the hanging rabbit or mirror until recently. Since swings are heavy and burdensome, this is a good place to keep the baby when you need to put him/her down for a few moments. I give it the highest recommendation.

Good after 20 years.

I put this paint on a fireplace insert over 20 years ago and there is not even the tiniest spot of peeling. It looks today the same as it did when I put it on. I have used other high temperature paints on barbecues, etc but they have all eventually peeled. This stuff may cost more but not having to redo so often is more than worth it.

can't live without it!

This filter used in the Alen A375UV Air Purifier is awesome! We can't live without it. My husband has allergies to dogs and we have 4 that live in the house with us. We run the Purifier 24/7 and his allergies don't bother him. As soon as the filter needs to be changed/ is dirty, his allergies kick into over drive. As soon as we replace the filter his allergies disappear.I highly recommend this filter and the purifier!

Great hand protection at super great price!

As an officer I am always looking for the best search glove thats not to bulky and fits snug on fingers. These gloves are pretty good, but you have to break them in to loosen up the sprectra guard lining. At 12.95 these gloves are a steal.

Incredible Match for BRECKWELL etc.

This paint is awesome! I had some gold accent trim pieces on my insert that I hated, so I bought this paint, and it matches the factory finish perfectly! Painted all the trim and made it look a lot more modern for our style of decor. Incredibly durable finish. The actual color is a TON darker than the cap finish shown here. Its almost black. If you need to touch up a stove or BBQ, this is the stuff!I'll also attatch some photos of before and after of our stove on the image area.

Perfect Christmas gift for my father!

We grew up with my father making popcorn for us in the evening. He has a friend who had gotten a popcorn machine and always talked about it. I started looking at restaurant suppliers in my area and found them to be cost prohibitive. I looked online assuming the same would be true, especially with shipping for such a heavy item. Not the case with this! It arrived quickly, in excellent condition, and for a price my sisters and I could afford to spend on him for Christmas. He loves it and the rest of the family gets to enjoy his gift as well.

Great Buy

I actually bought this item from "Amazon Warehouse" used but "Like New" condition. When they say "Like New" it's pretty darn close. The compressor came in it's original box with all accessories in their original plastic package and the cords spooled up as if it came from the factory. I haven't yet seen a blemish on the unit itself. It really is in like new condition (and was $60 cheaper than a new unit from Amazon).This compressor is great. I was originally considering the Smart Jet (non-Pro) however what pushed me over is that if you lower the air pressure on the Smart Jet it achieves a lower pressure by a bleed valve which just lets the air run out. The result is that the auto-shutoff feature of the Smart Jet is then rendered useless and the compressor just runs constantly. This compressor however has a true regulator and you can decrease the pressure without loosing the auto-shutoff functionality. It also has a "protective case" around it.----------------------------Update October 2012A year and a half later and the compressor is still doing great. I also have a larger shop compressor used for pneumatic tools, and compare to that this unit is way quieter. The tank fills up in about 30 seconds then it shuts off and is quiet. It's nice to be able to paint things at night, 10PM or 11PM, without worrying about how it will affect others in the house or the neighbor. If I had to buy another air brush compressor for some reason... well, I think I might just buy a 2nd one of these.

Relatively quiet compressor that has a variable PSI, a real one, not an airbleed.The only thing that would make this better would be an air storage tank but that's a different model for a few bucks more.
