Not happy at all!

I've owned many expensive pairs of sunglasses in the past. New, these glasses were good. They are comfortable, worked well in bright sunlight and are light enough to wear for long periods of time. Then one day I picked them up and noticed tiny marks on the lens. I thought they were just dirty but after cleaning with the included soft cloth, realized this was not the case. No big deal, I can live with some tiny marks but had no clue as to how they were marked because they were not dropped and were always kept in the case. Then I dropped them from my face into a thick patch of grass. I was shocked by the amount of damage to the lens. It looked like I had cleaned them with sand paper. I contacted Serengeti to order new lens. They would not sell me new lens just a new pair at a slightly discounted rate and the amount you pay is dependent on what damage is done to the glasses. I refused the offer. Then I had put the glasses down on a hockey bag and picked them back up and there was more damage to them than before. Lesson learned, I will not be going back to this brand. The durability is terrible and I don't like the fact that they choose not to sell you parts for your glasses because it's an opportunity for them to squeeze more money out of you.

Very nice

I've owned at least 4 pair of Seregeti's before and have been very pleased with every pair. The 555nm Polarized/Photochromatic lenses take things to a whole new level imho. These are every bit as good as my Maui Jim's and the frame are far more comfortable. I'd get these again in a heartbeat.

Sunglasses for Driving

The glasses are very comfortable to ware. The big plus is that they are glare free and your vision is excellent even when driving into direct sunlight. I highly recommend these lenses to anyone who drives alot in sunny areas.

Love it it's the best phone I've Ever Used. The Camera is great. I put the Camera at my front door when so someone come up to the door the phone rings ,We can see & talk to the person at the door, without having to open the door . The Camera alone makes it worth the $100.00.I was able to get the Phone, Camera, & 5 extra Handsets for what most other site wonted for just the Phone, base & Camera alone. I have to say is buy it you will love it.Cons: The only bad thing is the phones don't come with belt clips .But you can buy them for around $3.00.each.

Good Unit

I have an older set of cordless Panasonics that I enjoy very much around the house. I recently added a second phone line for my home office and ordered this phone. Other reviews note battery life and sluggish charging time - all true, but not that bad. Two hand-sets gets me through a day laiden with conference calls. The camera option, well, unless you're monitoring a bag of rocks, skip it. The one annoying change is the menu functions are different from my old Panasonics and going to the correct Caller List button is a miserable training issue. The integrated answering machine is great as the screened calls are played through the speaker on the handset as well as message playback. I have not had any issues with the VoiceMail indicator and I'm using with VoIP. All in all a very good handset, however skip trying to load your phone numbers from a contacts list, too clunky and it only holds 50 numbers. Oh, and yes, the belt clips are sold separately...

Nice Concept, But................

The bad points:When I purchased the Phone/Camera combo I figured the video would be 'real time' or 'streaming' which it isn't. On the high resolution it updates about every 5 seconds, on low resolution it updates about every 2 seconds.It also doesn't have night vison :(Being there is a intercom between the handset and the camera, we get loud squealing feedback when the handset is displaying the camera image and is to close to the camera (5-8ft), if you turn the speaker on the camera down it helps. This could be a problem when used as a baby monitor. There is a mute button on the handset, so we'll have to get used to pressing it when going into that room when carrying the handset or turning the video off on the handset.The good points are:1) Sound activated camera, when the camera detects sound it calls the handset(Very nice feature!), or you can turn the camera on from the handset.2) You can intercom with the camera to talk to whom ever is close by.3) This probably should be #1, our base unit is about 30ft around and through walls, and video signal to the handset is flawless.I believe with a little tweaking they will have the best product for use as a baby monitor.Having Panasonic cordless phones for quite some time and knowing their range was why I choose to go this route instead of a standard baby monitor with little to no range. I walked all over the neighborhood and as usual with a panasonic phone coverage/video was flawless.

Awesome!

I am a tennis player and these sunglasses really help. Not only do they help filter out the sun rays, but the ball color (optic yellow) is really enhanced. They even work well in low-light conditions. If you need darker lenses than the teal, you can switch to the supplied grey ones. They also don't fog-up as easily as some. Great product!1/09 Update: After about a year of use, I found that the nose pads like to come unglued and fall off. There are replacement pads available, but they are a little pricey and you supply the glue. I would take the star rating down to 4 due to this.

Value Isn't There.

Because of specific eye problems I have to wear sunglasses outdoors at all times. The Bolle Vigilante with the prescription insert added was the perfect solution for my requirements. But I have complaints.Vastly overpriced for the quality.Compare these to sunglasses in the ten to twenty-five dollar range and you will see they are of comparable quality. In fact, I have better quality glasses purchased on Ebay from China. The interchangeable lenses are cheap scraps of plastic.My grandchild's toy sunglasses are no worse.The rubber nose pads and earpieces rot, and fall off frequently. If they were just molded as one piece of plastic with the frames, the problem would be solved and cost less to boot, although I would not expect Bolle to pass along any savings.Because of the design of the earpieces, it is not possible to attach retainer straps to the earpieces, so they fall off more often and the lenses get scratched up rapidly, resulting in more sales for Bolle.Can't someone make these things cheaply, or at least give value for the money spent? Until then, I am stuck buying theses frames and their expensive replacement lenses.UPDATE: 4/23/13. I now rate the Bolle at two stars up from one star because of recent experience - I have found that the nosepieces and ear pieces no longer seem to rot.

Parole Indestructible Frame: Must for tennis players.

As a tennis player I bought my first pair of Parole sunglasses 12 years ago (2000) and I still have that frame.The frame is literally INDESTRUCTIBLE, ¡amazing!.But beware, the nose pads and the Bolle Thermo - Grip Temple Pads WILL damage in 2 - 3 years and them are (hell) EXPENSIVE !!!! (see link items). I just bought the Bolle Replacement Nose Pads replacement from amazon.Because my original competivision (teal green) and clear lenses got some scratches I decided to buy a new pair of Parole Sunglasses plus some replacement lenses (lemon & clear) (Bolle 2011/12 Parole 2 RL - Replacement Lenses (Pair).The new Parole frame has not changes, it is exactly as the original, so the nose pads and grip temple pads.The frame is really light and this is great for a tennis player.The pouch has improved the inside pocket for the second pair of replacement lenses.Best of Parole (small frame) and Vigilante (bigger frame) sunnglasses is the option of a prescription lense adapter Bolle Vigilante or Parole Small Rx Prescription Insert Adapter to Use with Sunglasseswhich I use and that is the main reason that now I own two of this frames.With two frames I have the advantage of having one with the competivision (teal green) lenses for bright day and the other frame with the clear or lemon lenses for playing in a cloudy day or at night.Don't doubt it, this sunglasses worth their price for a serious tennis player.Advices:- Take good care of the nose pads.- Don't twist the grip temples.- Be careful when you clean the lenses, especially when you play in clay courts.- Try to change lenses not frequently and not in the run, this can be a cause of damaging the nose pads.- When using RX adapter in hot/humid weather probably will help to use an anti fog solution (I use Aqua Sphere Anti-Fog Solution).Overall rating: 4 stars, Bolle must improve nose pads.P.S.: I am an intermediate-advanced tennis player (NTRP 4,0 - 4,5 level*); I have been playing tennis since 3 decades ago and besides I love this sport, I like technical aspects about racquets, strings, tennis shoes and tennis accessories. Perfect Fit

This baby gate fit my needs perfectly. I had been looking for a while and took a chance on this one. The top of my stairway, where this gate is installed, has thick footboards and chair rail. There is also not enough room to install a pressure gate due to lack of wall space at the top of the stairs. A pressure gate wouldn't fit anyways due to my height restrictions to be inbetween the chair rail and footboards. I was able to install the hinged end of the gate at 90-degrees to the gate in the closed position. I had to add strip of 1x2 lumber to the clasp end of the gate (mounted on the wall). This ensured that the gate clasp clears a very close by doorway trim. As i said, i installed the gate hinge at a 90-degree angle, so this also allows me to swing the gate to a 'full open' position. I added a small hook on the wall to keep the gate in its open position. So in short, the gate was installed in a very tight location that required much attention to detail for all the angles required at the top of my stair well. This gate exceeded my expectations and has provided a very strudy solution for our needs. I would recommend this gate to a friend, and i will be purchasing a second gate to go outside on our back deck installed much like as shown in the picture. The gate itself was very easy to install (however, i did only recieve directions in French - there were enough pictures and letters/numbers to guide me). The next installation will be a snap!

X-9s and glasses

These are OTGs. They are designed to fit over glasses. If you are not a glasses wearer I am not sure why you would pay for this model. They are big. I have not had the problem with them sliding down on my nose that others have reported. (Did they tighten the strap?). Some Rx glasses that are very wide (hinge screw to hinge screw) may not fit well under these glasses.I have skied for 4 decades and always with my glasses. There are 3 main problems that the glasses wearer faces with goggles: 1) fitting the glasses under the goggles, 2) fogging, 3) the tendency for the goggles to cause the glasses to wiggle or vibrate with every bump impact.1) Fit: these seem to be adequate although skiing is so important to me that I consider the width of the glasses I will use when I purchase the glasses. Some Rx glasses are too wide to fit well under any goggles.2) Fogging: The goggles seem to do fine. That does not mean your glasses will not fog. It is important that you use some kind of anti-fog coat on your glasses. The cloths are okay, but the sprays and greases (Cat Crap for example) seem to work even better although you pay a price in overall clarity (they tend to leave a film).3) Vibration: These are okay. The cut outs on the sides help and as long as the front corners of your glasses are not rubbing on the goggle lenses the problem is not any worse than simply wearing your glasses.Miscellaneous comments for the glasses wearer: Fogging is the biggest problem IMO. I like powder. I ski when it is snowing. Here's a few tips:- Put your goggles on before you walk out of the lodge. Do not let your glasses lenses get any colder than they have to have to; it will only make the fogging problem worse.- Don't let your head overheat. If you wear a wool hat consider taking it off when it gets warmer. If your helmet has vents - open them up as much as possible. The cooler your face is; the less it will cause your glasses to fog.- I have tried the goggles with the fan built in to them. They did not really help me any. If the goggles I am using have adjustable vents I always keep them as open as possible. The X-9 does not have adjustable vents, but they seem to be as "open" as any I have used with adjustable vents.One other thing: Previous reviewers have not mentioned the tint of their X-9s. They come 4 tints. My "modulator vermillion" did not change colors evenly and leaves me with a very distracting dark area in one section of my field of view when the sun comes out. The "modulator" is a very nice tint feature because of its wide range of light adaptability. I will reorder another pair of these as I like them a lot. If the new ones are not better I will let you know. I have a pair of "polarized brown" that are very nice on sunny days

Nice goggle for the price!

I bought this elsewhere but I thought I should let prospective buyer know. I have the black frame and vermillion lens. The goggle covers almost half of my face. This is a good thing since it blocks quite a bit of wind. It never fogged up yet. The vents work well. The lens color takes some getting used to at first. But once you wear it for a few minute, your eyes will adjust to it and you won't notice it. The over-sized lens provides great all around visibility. It contrasts well in either sunny or cloudy day so you can see the trail better and ride harder and faster. An added bonus is that you can wear it over the glass (I don't but I tested it at home). Given the low cost of this lens. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

GREAT FOR THE PRICE

Great goggles for the price. They stayed clear all day everyday without fogging. The Over The Glasses feature would come in handy if I had glasses and the amber colored lenses were great for various weather conditions. One problem that I did have is that the goggles tend to slide down my face a little and rest on my nose, somewhat restricting my breathing through my nose. It wasn't unbearable though, just an annoyance that I can put up with. Overall I'd recommend them.

Fun but Frustrating

My son just turned 4 and received this as a gift from Grandma. He LOVES it. I love it too ... with one exception; The pieces don't stay together very well. This is primarily an issue with the "ball shoots." They are design to rotate, but WAY TOO often the ball shoots come off of the conveyer. My 4 year old can fix it, when he's so inclined, but I hear a lot of "daddy, can you fix this." This is also true of the press-fit roadway - it comes apart less often, but it's harder for him to reassemble. This can be VERY frustrating for him as well as for me. Perhaps nothing a little duct tape can't fix :)I should mention that my younger son is 2-1/2 ... this too complex for him.Apart from that this is a fun toy that is well designed.- The remote control is easy for him to understand and operate.- He doesn't need to steer on the roadway; the truck is guided by a track- The truck and conveyer power down when not in use- The conveyer turns itself on when it senses a ball in the hopper- The conveyer is as much fun as the truck- the ease at which things come apart means there are less things that will breakI would give this 5 stars if it held together better ... or it came with a tube of superglue.As a side note, the balls are pretty small and could be a chocking hazard for younger siblings. There are about 16 balls and they are hard to keep track of.

Educational and FUN!!

I bought this set for my 3 1/2 year old after he couldn't stop playing with it at a Robotics show. 6 months later and he still loves playing with it. The tracks, ball levers and conveyor belt has kept him fascinated with how things work. The "child" joystick for remote control has made it extremely easy for him to learn how to maneuver the dump truck. And in all honesty I spend a bit of time playing with the set myself when he's not. :) Great product. Well worth the money.

Great Toy But Disappointed

We bought this toy for my son who just turned 4. I was lucky enough to be able to buy MANY pieces of Rokenbok for 70% off at a local store. I got everything but the starter set. I read that this set was compatible with other Rokenbok so I chose this one because the age seemed more appropriate. The problem is that this set does NOT come with the control pad and the "keys" to put in the vehicles. It works just like other remote toys with batteries in both the controller (which is different) and the vehicle. Now I have a starter set that will not work with all the other pieces that I have, which means more money to invest to get the controller and keys. The toy is great, but you can't add it to other sets with vehicles.

Definitely worth the sale price!!

This was my first pair of Bolle sunglasses. I have owned Bolle skiing goggles in the past but never a pair of sunglasses. I came across these a few weeks back for only [...] or in other words around 74% off the MSRP. It isn't often you find a pair of polarized sunglasses from a quality company for so cheap so I pulled the trigger and purchased them. I like having a pair of polarized sunglasses as I am a photographer and it gives me a good general idea of what a polarizing filter will look like in a particular shot. Plus they make great driving sunglasses.Anyways I have been using them for a couple weeks now and I am impressed. I figured there had to be a catch for getting almost 75% off but there isn't. Overall its a great design, they are very comfortable to wear and most importantly they have great glass. I have a smaller face so these are a tad bit big frame wise then again I am just not used to wearing larger framed glasses and my wife says they look great (Trust me she would be the first one to toss these out the window if they looked bad on me so she isn't just saying that to be nice).In all honesty for [...] bucks these things are a steal. If you like aviator style glasses and are looking for a pair of polarizing sunglasses, well you would be wise to give these a look. Its cheap returning sunglasses through the mail so what do you have to lose. I am honestly thinking about getting a 2nd pair.

Nice Lenses

The glasses are great but when they arrived, one lens was out of the frame. I fixed that but then realize that one of the arms was also loose and slips off the frame if you're not careful. Maybe I just got a bum pair but I'm going to try contacting Bolle to see what they suggest.

The best shoes in my collection

I recently received a pair of these (the Charcoal/Orange ones, by the way) and I must say I am delighted with them. First off, these are my first pair of Chuck Taylors I have ever owned and worn, so it's not like these are just one more to my collection of Chucks. Although they look somewhat painful on the feet because of the apparent lack of arch-support of shoes I usually wear, they feel really, really great. They are the lightest shoes I have worn, they are very comfortable and the marvelous lack of laces make these my new choice for everyday wear. On top of that, they look gorgeous pretty much on top of anything.A note of caution for people who have never bought Chuck Taylors before: it's no joke when Converse itself advices the american market buy them a size smaller than your regular wear if you're a male and 2 sizes smaller in case you're a female. In my case, I'm a male who typically wears size 11.5, but I ordered them size 11, because I was so scared that they would be too tight and would not be wearable. Upon arrival, I tried them out and as I expected, I had about half an inch of free space inside the shoes, and although on slip ons it's preferred to have a somewhat tight grip on the shoes, they still feel and behave greatly.Simply put, they're the most comfortable and overall best shoes I own. =)Edit: Two years later, they're good as new.

Great shoes, my son loves them. The only thing is that these shoes run big and being that they don't lace, it is better to order conservatively so that they fit properly.

Slip On Greatness (Aye, NO LACES)

I have a couple pairs of these and I love'em! They are perfect for walking the dog, going to the store, or just goofing around the house.I like that they are slip on, makes it easy to get in and out of them quickly.BTW, they are not supposed to have laces!!!

pretty darn good

i am a lifeguard and needed some shades for work. i took a risk buying them on line but i am glad i did. they are comfortable and light weight. i think they are pretty stylish too. i am not sure if they are polarized though. however they work well and keep my eyes from getting tired. because they are light they also feel a little breakable but so far they have been great. these are good glasses and i am satisfied with my purchase.

Wonderful glasses

Great quality, great style, and great price. These shades were a little smaller than I had originally thought, but even with my huge melon, they feel and look great. They also come in a nice "tote" with a cleaning cloth.

Love this scope

My wife and I got into birding a few years ago and have always been jealous of other birders with scopes. When we recently decided to take the plunge, we found the on-line recommendations and reviews for different scopes to be inconsistent and confusing. The decision would have been easy if our budget allowed purchase of a Swarovski, since they are the clear leaders, but we had to get something less expensive. Finally I asked the advice of our local Audubon Society Director and he recommended that we look at the Nikon Fieldscope. We eventually purchased it and couldn't be happier.It's lightweight enough to drag around everywhere, and has very bright, clear optics. Mounted on our new Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 carbon fiber tripod, we have a very high quality scoping solution that is also very portable.The included scope case is perfect, and the price on Amazon was the lowest I found anywhere, by far.
