A flawed, but worthwhile, figure.

I don't pick up many sixth scale figures, largely due to a lack of space to display them, but when I had the opportunity to buy this figure for [...], I couldn't pass it up. Power Girl stands about 13 inches tall, and the proportions are accurate to the character as she appears in the comics(you may wish her body was a bit more muscular, depending on your personal preference). Power Girl's head sculpt captures the appearance of the character well, although her expression is a bit blank and more doll-like than I would prefer. The eyes have a glossy sheen over them that gives them a more lively appearance. The only paint apps on this figure on on her head, so thankfully, they're pretty much perfect.The articulation follows the standard established with prior releases in the line; it's quite good, but not perfect. For example, the wrists have a cut joint, but no hinge. Still even though a couple more POAs would be nice to have, the figure does have more than adequate articulation, and you can easily get some very dynamic poses.The outfit is quite good overall, with a well-fitting spandex-like material for the main part of the costume, and pleather-like material for her gloves and boots. The rope is nicely done, and the cape looks very nice, and hangs well. It would have been nice to have some wire in the hem of the cape to allow for posing it more dynamically, but it's okay as is. One minor gripe is her belt, which is not removable. This made it much tougher to remove her outfit, which was necessary to rectify the major problem with the figure. To conceal the joints on her bare legs, DC Direct decided to put a pair of hose on her from the waist down. This is intended to give a more natural fleshlike appearance. Unfortunately, they look rather awful. They tend to bunch up around the joints, particularly the hips, and just generally hurt the overall appearance of the figure. I decided to remove them, preferring the visible joints on the legs to the awful appearance they had with the hose. Unfortunately, the shade of fleshtone used on the plastic for her legs does not match her upper body, so the look is far from perfect. Which look you decide to go with is really down to personal taste.PG includes three sets of hands: a pair of fists, a pair of open hands, and a pair designed for holding accessories (even though she doesn't come with anything to hold). The only other accessory is the stand, which is not needed for basic poses.In the final analysis, this Power Girl figure is flawed, but still a nice addition to your collection if you are a fan of the character. If you can find her for a decent price, say, under[...], I recommend the purchase. Just keep the figure's flaws in mind when you buy!

This figure is incredible. The detailing is superb. DC has truly made a work of art with this creation. The costume, the detail everything is what it should be. If you're an avid collector or just starting out this powergirl figure is a great way to begin.

All in all this one is nicely done only minor details need work on like the hands sets they could be better done so they wouldnt come off easily. and legs fabric keeps sliding a bit. other than that I love it.

Black Max 5250/6560

We bought this generator in January of 2006. This generator has seen us through several multiple day power outages. The most recent was 12 days from hurricane Sandy(Fall 2012). We use it to run two refrigerators and a steam boiler(heat and domestic hot water), a couple of lights and some occasional small appliances. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this machine; easy to start, low to moderate gas consumption, fully pneumatic wheels, easy to reach controls, ample outlets, and we prefer the plastic gas tank. Features that are lacking that would be nice to have: fold-down handle, easier oil dipstick & filler(like on a lawnmower or snow thrower) and hour meter. Having almost seven years experience with this machine, and without hesitation, we give this machine a five star rating.

5kw gen with subaru engine

I bought this to run a 180a portable mig welder at a time when some calamity was going on in the midwest and there were no generators to be found locally. 5kw is the minimum you'd want for this situation, and if i had it to do again, i'd get a 6kw with electric starter. The Subaru engine was the reason i bought this particular model, i wanted no part of chinese knockoff honda copies. It has worked fine and starts readily, i don't yet have enough hours on it to comment on durability, but i'd rather have bought one locally, and i'd rather have a metal gas tank. You can't always get what you want, but if you're patient....

Batgirl as a member of G-Force... with leaning problems

DC comics ladies in Anime style... you'll either love it or hate it. While listed as a figure, it is a statue for display only. The gray color of the outfit is darker than in the pictures, which looks much better.Biggest downside is a leaning problem. The figure leans a bit too far on the back of the base. While the leaning is not as bad as the same issue with the Catwoman figure, you may want to tilt the base to keep everything upright, and keep the body from bending.

anime-style bat-girl done right

You know you always wondered what bat-girl would look like manga style. There's nothing wrong with the classical DC-look but it's fun to experiment with other visual styles isn't it? Japanimation/manga art works to great effect here.This statue is part of the new DC DIRECT AME-COMI Girls PVC Statue line which is specialized mostly on the females. Gee, I wonder why? Sorry, Batman : 0So anyway, if you dig B-girl, you can also go for Catwoman (highly recommended), Wonder Woman and Super-girl all with similar kawai (japanese for cute) styling.These are technically limited-editions, hand-painted PVC statue (about 9" tall ) so they will sell out eventually. They are non-articulate as in they don't move, so don't attempt to do this unless you want a battle-scarred version with a broken arm. The hand-painting is done well, even at close viewing the colors are where they are supposed to be.Comes with a base and is packaged in a 4-color window box. The base worked pretty well for me. The box is OK for displaying too if you are one of those that never actually takes your stuff out of the box : ]Overall, a very well-done statue with a neat reinterpretation of a classic. Makes one wish there were an actual bat-girl manga to go along with it. Cheers.

Anime Batgirl is as much fun as you would imagine!

As a collector of all things Batgirl it was only a matter of time before I picked up my first Ame-Comi figure from DC Direct/ DC Collectibles which, obviously,was going to be Batgirl. The theme of this line is simple: Envision popular DC characters as anime styled girls. These are 9 inch unarticulated statues, not action figures, but they really make an impression on the shelf being rather dynamic and colorful. Here's a few of my thoughts on Batgirl:The positives:*Of course statues usually always come with stands, but I'm pointing this out as a positive because Batgirl's stand is very nice. It is quite large, holds her well, and presents little risk of the statue getting knocked over.*While this is a PVC statue with no articulation or removable accessories the look of the statue certainly has enough cool, seperately molded pieces to give it the appearance of "accessories." Batgirl is holding a batarang in her right hand, her goggles are a separate, translucent piece, and her belt looks like an actual extra piece as well. It is very dynamic.*The sculpt is beautiful. The body suit (and by extension her body) has a beautiful, curvy flow to it that is nicely broken up by such costume elements as her boots, gloves, and slightly oversized helmet (it looks more like a helmet she might wear while riding her motorcycle rather than her standard cowl). The flowing cape gives the appearance of motion which helps her to look all the more fabulous.*I thought this over a bit but in the end, I like the usage of a translucent plastic for Barbara's hair. It gives it a nice look that draws attention to her flowing hair and makes it appear finer without requiring a super detailed sculpt that would clash with the rest of the statue.The negatives:*I don't really have any negatives. I guess I am not 100% sure what she is doing with her left arm (something looks a bit off about it to me) but it certainly is not a deal breaker.Overall: As someone who collects Batgirl stuff, I was quite pleased with this anime inspired representation of Barbara Gordon. She's fun and different enough to stand out while still retaining enough elements of the traditional depiction of the character to be instantly recognizable. I'd love to see DC Collectibles try to incorporate some of these designs into action figures, but I imagine that's probably a long shot. If you decide to pick one of these up, be on the lookout as she comes in the gray and blue outfit reviewed here and in a reapinted version with a black and yellow outfit.

I was excited to have been able to purchase this product because it has always been one of my favorite fragrances that has been discontinued. The bottle was super tiny which I somewhat expected, however the perfume seemed watered down because it did not last at all. So I will not be purchasing this again.

Although this very hard to find perfume spray was mailed from Asia, it arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The scent is a nice mixture of florals and sweet scents, a contemporary daytime spray. This seller was honest and unlike some sellers, actually sent a brand new, unopened, sealed version that was NOT a tester.This purchase of Sunset Heat arrived in the original box with sealed clear wrap, protectively packed. The seller did, however, require my signature from USPS when it arrived--I was NOT told of this prior to making purchase. Due to the quality of the item, the quickness of delivery, and the perfection in packing and securing a breakable item, I rate this purchase a 5/5.

A great shirt

I had one of these shirts and wore it for 7 years, it went from a dark hunter green to a light faded green but after all that wear and tear it never ripped, the stitching stayed tight. I still wear these today. One of the last quality clothing items you can find anymore.

Nice Chairs but Poor Packaging

Pros: These chairs are worth much more than what I paid. Stylish and goes well with my other furniture. I purchased 4 counter height and 2 bar height chairs. First one took about 25 minutes to assemble. 2-6 took about 15 minutes each. Well made chairs.Cons: Not square if you are not careful. Trick is to loosely attach all the parts, bolts and screws (except the seat). Then stand it up on a hard flat surface and tighten everything with some pressure from the top. Mine are sitting on hardwood floors and so I used felt padding at the bottom of each leg - that's another way to level out the chairs.Packaging: Simply horrible! All the boxes arrived with some damage and a couple of the legs arrived with the stain worn off from rubbing. I fixed it with some stain but one should not have to do that for new products. The manufacturer should spend $5 more for better packaging materials and raise the price by $5 if needed. At these prices, that's still one heck of a deal.I gave this product 3 stars only because of the poor packaging. Otherwise it is a solid 5.

Nice looking but could be better made

This chair, like all the other reviews have said, is very good looking. It was also a great price. The wood is sturdy and it was very easy to assemble. The one thing I didn't like, which for me is a deal-breaker, is that the seat cushion does not have any support under it. You basically hammer in the seat cushion to the chair with tiny nails and then that's it. There is no support underneath besides the frame of the chair. I am afraid that one of these days we are going to sink through! The bottom of the seat is very flimsy, too, so you can't really trust it; it's super light with what feels like cardboard with some padding on top of it. If I knew it was going to be like this, i would have returned it, but we already assembled it so it is too much of a pain to return, plus shipping and handling was like $23, so we would have spent $46 for nothing to send it back.

color is dark brown, not almost black but dark dark brown. in sunlight has a tint of red to the wood. seats are darker than picture but still very neutral. sturdy and will be out to good use.

absolutely beautiful

The chairs arrived and, yes, we had to put them together. It wasn't very hard to do. But the chairs themselves are beautiful. We searched around our area for something unique and well-made, but we found nothing even close to this. And everyone who sees them asks what store we got them from. We are so glad we took the chance. If you've got the patience to put them together, you'll have chairs you'll really love.

These chairs were well packaged and arrived without a scratch. They are extremely comfortable and attractive, especially for the price. Unfortunately, one of the chairs arrived with two left front legs, rather than a right and a left. As of this moment, I'm waiting to hear back from customer service to resolve the problem. If they simply send me a pair of new matching legs, in trade for the two lefts I have, I won't hesitate to order from this company again. I'm very pleased with the quality of the items I received (aside from the one packing glitch).

disappointed in quality

the chairs look great but are not the greatest quality. You definately get what you pay for and in this case, you are paying little. The chairs are very light and there is no support on the seats for heavier people. If you are petite and don't mind chairs that are average at best, these are for you. If you want a heavy duty that will last for many years to come, these are not those chairs.
