Nice sounding and nice looking product
By Scott M in SC
I purchased this unit over the Thanksgiving weekend and really like it. It has a very nice, clean sound and is very easy to operate using the SkyFi3 since all functions work through the SkyFi3's remote. My only minor complaint is that when you dock the receiver the volume comes on at a predetermined level, but it's not a big deal. The system looks very nice and has a great sound -- I would highly recommend it. With respect to a previous review, if you want BIG sound for a party or to resonate throughout your house, you'd probably just want the home kit for your receiver and feed it though your home stereo. But for a nice roomfull (or even a couple of roomfulls) of sound, this does a great job.

Great product
By Michael
Lets just say that I was extremely impressed with the audio from this thing. I mean its small but the bass hits hard on the chest and the audio doesnt crack when you turn it up. XM sounds great on it but sound quality depends on your location so some people get better quality than others. Great product if your having a back yard party or something small in the house. Got a lot of compliments for its sound and looks.

Premium? Don't think so.
By Mary Jo Sminkey
I wanted to be able to listen to XM radio both in my car and in my home office and avoid the performance hit of running something like Napster on my computer when doing memory-intensive stuff on my system so these speakers looked like a good alternative. The size footprint is very reasonable. A variety of inserts are available for your radio, I use the SkyFi3. First, getting the antennae aimed was quite a challenge. It is *very* particular at least in my house and it doesn't really seem to have much to do with aiming at a window or south, etc. I just had to find the exact spot in the middle of the room where it found a signal...and then not move or turn it even an inch. When I later decided to move the speakers and have to reposition the antennae it again took me a long time to find the precise spot where it found a signal. At least once it found it though, it seems to do okay.Sound quality I find to be only adequate. It's not "premium" by any means, just not very full and basically sounds like radio-quality. I couldn't imagine trying to crank up the volume and use it for a party for instance. The speakers have limited sound adjustments...a button to adjust bass and the other two handle volume. Nothing much on the radio itself either so if you're hoping for true CD quality, this isn't the way to go.The one other issue I have I'm not sure if it's the SkyFi3 that's at fault (probably) or the speakers, but it sometimes turns on and starts playing in the middle of the night which is really annoying.
