4BEST Mixer I've Ever Owned!
By Kova
I've had over a dozen mixers in my life and the Bose T1 is by far the best I've ever owned. The Pros:It has the best Pre Amps I've ever heard! Same quality you would find in many high end studios. It replaces a rack full of processors I no longer need including a guitar tuner. It's extremely compact, light weight and almost fits into the palm of your hand.It can hang on a Mic stand which I believe is the only mixer to do that. It's user friendly and a novice can run it.You can record with the built in USB straight into a computer without an interface. It can be used with ANY brand of speakers and not just Bose.It can save your settings, removing the need to "re-EQ" everything when you play the same room twice. This is a HUGE time saver.Bose has software on their web site that lets you "back up" all your settings in case your T1 gets broken or stolen. This is an invaluable feature. It's reasonably priced considering everything you would have to buy separately for the same set up.The Cons:It doesn't come with a power supply. Bose makes you buy it separately. It doesn't have FireWire. It needs more Mic inputs. It runs in Stereo but there's NO Panning.Running a monitor mix through the AUX is not user friendly.I give it 4 out of 5 stars because of the Cons. Otherwise, it's light years ahead of the competition and there's nothing else out there like it. It's in a class of it's own.

3awesome sound...but mine didn't hold up
By B. Seni
Make no mistake, this is a state of the art mixer which outputs amazing sound. However, after owning and using this for 10 months as a professional musician, it froze in a blank-blue-screen, and stayed that way. The screen and dials were lit up as if the unit was working, but it was frozen and the screen was totally blank. No amount of 're-booting' helped. I was at a gig at the time, and it was a very bad situation. (understatement) Bose, to their credit, is replacing it with a new one, but I don't think I will trust it to be my sole mixer anymore. Shame.

4Wish it had stereo outs.
By David
GOOD POINTSThe Bose T1 ToneMatch packs a great amount of effects and control into a small unit. You can do 10 separate presets on 4 channels which makes it great for doing duets with other musicians where everyone can have their own effect on their own signals. The back lit screen and buttons make it perfect for those low light gigs. It even has a cool setting to mic a kick drum...although I haven't tested this setting yet. It makes a voice and acoustic guitar sound GREAT. I can fit my guitar, Bose L1 Compact, T1 ToneMatch, and necessary stands and cables, on my motorcycle to gigs. Bose technology is GREAT!IMPROVEMENTS1) The included holding bracket is made for the L1 Model 1 and 2 systems. I have a "L1 Compact" which it won't mount to. My other option is to mount it to a mic stand, but it sounds like the Bose stand accessory doesn't work very well. I used rip-ties and MADE the included bracket work on a mic stand.2) It would be great if the T1 had "Pan" capabilities on each channel along with stereo outs from the board. If so, you could run a stereo mix to two separate L1 systems. As it is....you have a mono out from the board and all you can do is daisy-chain two L1 systems together which yields a mono mix all the way around.3) It does NOT come with the AC adaptor. You will need it to run with the L1 Compact.

5Speakers that really deliver professional sound
By Les Holliday
I have worked as a mobile DJ since 1980 in the Pittsburgh area, and for most of that time, I used two Bose® 802 speakers (the pro version of the 901s) and the 302 acoustimass bass enclosure (which weighs 115 pounds). There was never a doubt that I had the best sound possible. However, I tore a rotator cuff lifting the 302 into the car a couple of years ago; the system was just too much to load and unload, what with the speakers, two amplifiers, mixer, etc.In January, I discovered the Bose® L1 Model II sound system. It is light, compact, and efficient, and it delivers incomparable sound that rivals the 802/302 system pushing 1600 watts but without the weight and clutter of cables, etc.For DJ applications, I highly recommend getting two B1 bass units to deliver the kind of bass that carries into the room and which would be suitable for dancing. If you are using the system as a single performer, then one B1 unit might be sufficient. However, my experienced friends have told me that this system does not work as well as some other systems with DRUMS. For that use, you might want to consider a different set of speakers, especially subs. When I set up my L1 with two B1 bass units at a venue, the first "test" song I play is Billy Joel's "Innocent Man." If you're familiar with it, you know it starts off with dynamic bass. Then the high register kicks in, and the L1 system produces such spectacular sound that at every single gig I've done with them, someone--waitresses, bus boys, caterers, hall managers--comes over immediately to rave about the sound. One of the most frequent comments is "I can't believe how CLEAR the sound is!"For what I do (weddings, corporate parties, reunions, etc.), it's the ideal system. Cocktail hour and dinner music, which have to be low enough to allow conversations to be carried on at tables, was always a problem. In the past, people near the speakers thought it was too loud, while people in the back of the room couldn't hear the music clearly at all. Now, though, I can set the volume, and that volume is pretty much the same if you're standing 10 feet from the speakers or 75 feet from the speakers. There is a very slight falloff in the sound volume after the first 100 feet, but even at that, it still carries well. Even though I've been doing this for several months now, I'm still amazed at how even the sound coverage is.When it comes to the dance music, the volume doesn't have to be as "loud" as it had to be with the 802/302 system. When I fired those speakers up, there was always a "hole" on the dance floor in front of the speakers because the volume was so high it would make your ears bleed (OK, so it wasn't that loud--but it was loud!). With the L1 system, the sound carries so well that the volume doesn't have to be set at the "make their ears bleed" level. I can set it for the "right" sound for the dance floor, and it carries all the way across the room at the right volume. And people dance right next to the speakers. I was surprised to see that, to tell you the truth, and I even took a picture in May of the parents of the bride dancing about 2-3 feet from the speaker system.A nice feature for me is the fact that the amplifiers are built into the pedestal base unit that holds the cylindrical tower (two speaker sections that fit together rather securely in a seven-foot high tower). The amplifiers are created by Bose precisely for these speakers. The cylindrical tower contains 24 matched speakers that are placed at specific angles within the tower to create that 178-degree horizontal "throw" of the speakers. The amplifiers sense how many B1 units are connected and properly direct sound and power to them.Lots of "stats geeks" have trouble with Bose® speakers because they are into amplifier wattage, speaker capacity in terms of "power," etc. However, if you understand that Bose is engineering the sound of these speakers in a new way, then you'll understand that the sound is not directly reliant on some of the "old" measures of powering speakers. The bottom line is the sound your ears hear, which is the truest test of any speaker system. If you buy this system, I recommend the Bose® ToneMatch® audio engine to go with it. It has three microphone inputs that have universal inputs (either XLR or 1/4 inch jacks), and a fourth input that accepts two 1/4 inch jacks (either balanced or unbalanced). Stereo sources can be connected here, so that solves the "stereo iPod" problem mentioned by another reviewer. There is also another connection, a direct USB connection, which will accept sound (either stereo or mono) from a computer. I use my laptop and a firewire drive, and all the music comes through the USB port into the ToneMatch® audio engine. Another benefit of the ToneMatch® audio engine is the large number of "presets." The presets will tailor the sound of the system to fit various microphones; a wide variety of instruments; and pre-recorded (DJ) sound sources. There is a "Low Volume" preset that is nice for dinner music, for example, and a "high volume" preset for dance music that eliminates the tinny highs and midrange, and the sometimes muddy bass sound that is often produced by sound systems when they are pushing the higher power outputs.I recently did an outdoor venue for a Car Show and had to cover a huge area with sound. I used one Bose® L1 Model II with two B1 units and one Bose® L1 Classic system with two B1 units (I picked that up "used" as a backup for the Model II and for use in larger venues). I pointed one system up the hill into the wind and the other system downhill with the wind behind it. The "uphill" sound carried very clearly for about 70 yards, after which it was audible but not crystal clear. The "downhill" sound carried 120 yards with no hint of falling off. That answered my question, "Will this system provide enough sound for a large venue?" Last year I played that same venue with my Bose® 802/302 system (1600 watts pushing it), and the comments I heard this year were that the sound was much better this year and it was clear all over the area. Take it for what it's worth.Bottom line evaluation for who should/can best use this system:* For single performers, this is outstanding.* For DJs, this is outstanding.* For live bands trying to use more than one or two performers per system, this may not be your best choice unless you get one system per performer.* For drums, this might not be the best audio solution unless you have four B1 units.* For small venues, this system may have no equal.* For larger venues, an additional system might be required to cover the entire area.* While I have not had this concern, other DJs have reported that it is helpful to elevate the system to get better "throw" over a crowded dance floor. (Lots of bodies will absorb sound.)Bottom line evaluation for the system itself:* For portability, sound quality, and ease of setup, this is outstanding.* For clarity and range of sound, this is outstanding.* For bass reproduction at high sound levels in very large venues, this system is average with two B1s; below average with one B1; and slightly above average with four B1s.Overall, I give the Bose® L1 Model II system (with TWO B1 modules) the top rating, 5 out of 5.

5Beautiful beautiful sound
By Tablatom
Hi all, i have had 2 L1 mkII's with one B1 base unit and 1 T1 tonematch mixer for each L1 since October 2010.It is a totally different approach to live sound systems. Before i bought them, i used my previous PA systems with a stage set-up that gave a similar effect as the L1's give.I used to set up my old PA's with speakers in front of the band facing the audience as is the case with most gig set-ups, and then i'd have 2 speakers behind the band on either side of the stage with the FOH mix in them, so the monitors would be giving the band the sound the audience was experiencing. Most of the time this was great.I was always amazed and dissapointed when i started playing on stages how the band would often get crappy monitors, with really bad sound, and often terrible mixes, so we musicians would finish the gig in a depressed unsatisfied state.Even if the monitors were of good quality and the engineer was great, the stage sound would still be a disjointed experience in the main.So i have had my own systems for the past 10 years, playing Tabla, Drumkit, with many different kinds of world music/holistic music/french dance music.I first heard the L1's at a store in Bristol UK and i was really blown away.A MKII was set-up against the MKI and the MKII was definitley a better product, sweeter sound.I have now done about 30 gigs with them in many different kinds of gigs, and venues. One was at a live yoga show in London. It has a busy stage with many acts coming on/off stage with little time to set-up. The band i was playing with has 2 mains singers, me on a Roland tdw-20 e-kit, trumpet and keyboard player. Also there is a backing track with Bass, b/vocals, percussion. Now if you have done this kind of gig before, you will know that with almost zero stage set-up time, forget about a proper sound check, and with Backing tracks,3 mics, drums and keyboard, the chance of getting a good, forget about great stage sound is really small with an engineer who doesn't know you material, and the way you like it mixed, AND who isn't on the stage to hear what you the musician is hearing. So we decided to use my 2 L1's with my Behringer mixer feeding both of them.We set up on the side of the stage while the band before us was playing and then we rushed on, set up the 2 L1's in 2 minutes, got everything plugged in, 1 minute line check and off we went. After 2 songs i tweeked the mix and we played for 45 minutes with a sound that someone in the 4th row said it sounded like a CD!.We walked of the stage with smiles on our face.I have had many memebers of the audience tell me after gigs with accoustic instruments that it sounded like a CD, like real instruments but just louder!!Like there isn't a PA!!Isn't that what so many musicians with high quality accoustic instruments want? Don't let the PA system be the weak link. The really amazing thing about the L1's is that you can hear EVERY NOTE OF EVERY MUSICIAN THE WHOLE GIG !!! If you have the money Bose want each musician to have a L1 each. I wish.I have put up to 6 musicians through 2 and had fantastic results. In one gig there was lead vocal, one side of a chorused 12guitar, cello and Tabla going through the L1 on my side of the stage. All 3 of us heard every note of each of us all gig long!!!!! if you are a musician don't you think you would be in heaven? Here is another example of the magic of the L1's live. I play Tabla with 2 Didjeredoo players. We play live for 90 minutes, 3 x 25 minute sections with transitions in between. The music is improvised within the above frame work.In the past on my old systems which were of decent quality, we struggled to get to 90 minutes, sometimes feeling a lack of spontaneity. When we played for the first time through the L1's, we got to 90 minutes and we were dissapointed we had to stop, so, we played for another 15 minutes!!The sound was soooo HUGE, so deeep, you hear what you mates are playing, so you weave with each other more, the energy builds. Here is the last example.I set my L1's up at my mates home studio. Now this guy has made sound tracks for huge international movies. He knows a lot about sound. We tried the L1's againts his very expensive studio monitors. Of course studio monitors are not ment to flatter music, but still his monitors are top of the range stuff. We tried many kinds of music, the studio monitors sounded accurate and clear. The L1's sounded accurate, clear, "HUGE and SYMPHONIC" to quote my mate. The Bass from the B1's are deep and very accurate. I am now buying 2 more, so now 4 of them will be powered by the 2 L1's. Yummy i can't wait. The T1 mixers are great, and being digital you can store set-ups. That saves time. What is also nice about the L1's is that as the sound never feels harsh, its coming through so many speakers, the sound is sweet everywhere.Another bonus of wide sound dispersion is that i have noticed you don't get the sound bouncng off the rear wall facing you and the side walls so much, if at all.How many times have you done a gig where the sound comes back to you 1/4 of a second later reflected from the back wall? Its really off putting. It happens a lot less with the L1.I could go on a lot more, just DO check them out. Don't listen to anyone who says they are weak/too quiet, they go plenty loud.ENJOY!!

5Bose L1 Model 1
By Sharon nimmo
Having run my own bands for the last 20+ years, I opted to go solo with BT's and initially worked with a pair of 802's & subs, stands, power amp, cables galore, etc...not easy going for a female soloist, and a bit risky relying on a sober member of the audience/bar staff to help to raise/lower speaker stands etc. A friend had the L1 on trial and invited me to check it out....I loved it so much I promptly sold my system and bought two L1's and 2 Bass and have never looked back. Didn't quite appreciate the Tone Match engine at all, but used a Soundcraft and now use an Alesis i-pod multimix. It easily works 3-400 people capacity as well as smaller more intimate settings and runs a disco set with great impact. It doesn't fail me in awkward shaped rooms either. So far I haven't had any venue issues due to it's height, and getting a terrific vocal sound when you are comfortable with a mixer is the easiest thing to do. The storage space both at home and in the car is minimal, carrying and setup is easy, although wheels on the large cases would make life sweet for shorter people (like me!!) I am used to venue compliments on my songs and performances but now my PAS gets it's own recognition...summing it up..it looks and sounds superb and is seriously tough enough to withstand the rigours of its varied and constant social life (also the occasional wannabe pole dancer)...AND its stripped, packed and back in the car in around 20 mins. I haven't been tempted by the newer model..yet...but for sure I would never consider going back to the 'old way'...spoiled completely :-)

I am a college student in IT that fixes computers, and, a lot of the time, a client will want me to reinstall a program from a nearly-mutilated disk. I needed something not only inexpensive -initially-, but with inexpensive upkeep and supplies. After a great deal of research, I stumbled upon the JFJ Easy Pro (I had been leaning toward a discgotech). When I first bought the product and was waiting impatiently for its arrival, I read some more reviews on the JFJ machine. Apparently, there are two versions of the machine: one with a glass-like plastic top, and one with a lighter plastic. I called the company and asked them several questions:1.) If I get the product with the top made of "lighter" plastic, can I get the new lid?-- yes, but you have to send it off and spend about 50 dollars for the piece and labor.2.) I have heard that, after thousands of repairs, the plastic cap that holds the disc while it spins will eventually strip on the metal screw...-- no problem. The company will usually just send you one free of charge if that's all you needBasically, whatever future parts you need, you can get a repair kit inexpensively...even after the warranty ends. That's something very important to me.When you get it out of the box (mine was the new model with the better lid. I bought before Xmas 2008), you can tell it's a well-made product. This thing is built like a bomb shelter, no joke. And, unlike a previous poster suggested, there is no learning curve. The idea is to choose the least-drastic method for the disc at hand. For example, if it's a minor scratch, don't use the sand paper. If you do use the coarse sand paper, you follow it with the fine, then the white and blue solutions in that order. You simply work your way down the grit level. It also includes a glossy instruction booklet. Better yet, there are vids on youtube (I'll also be posting). If you can work a microwave, you can work this machine. If you can screw this up, you shouldn't be allowed to leave your house without your helmet. That's really all I can say.The only con is that it won't make hot cocoa for me when I come home from class, I guess. This really was a solid investment, and I hope you find my review insightful.

4One of the best inexpensive CD/DVD Repair Kits on the Market
By Steve R.
I had been bringing my scratched CDs into a local shop to have them repair them for over a year. The owner was charging $1 a CD. He happens to have the same machine. At times I would get the CDs back and some would work great and some wouldn't. I hesitatingly bought my own to save the time and money of bringing each CD down to him to have them repaired. Boy, am I glad I did. I love this machine. It doesn't repair Gamecube or mini CD/DVDs, but it repairs all of my full size CD/DVDs. I've had some pretty deep scratches left over from the ex-girlfriends not putting the discs back into the cases. I've been repairing them to save me from buying them again. Sometimes it takes multiple times running it through to sand it down on the deep scratches, but they always come out working correctly. One disc I had to run through for 3 to 4 minutes of sanding just to remove the scratch, but it works great now. My daughter wanted to watch a movie last night that had been scratched and I hadn't repaired prior to last night. She was crying the entire time I was fixing it, but once it was put into the DVD player and worked great, she was as happy as can be!The only thing that I would complain about the kit would be the fact that it should come with bigger bottles of the solutions. I find that I only use the #2 solution most of the time and will sometimes use the #1 solution if I want the disc to look brand new. I don't use the wipe pads or the spray solution because hot water and a micro-cloth has worked great up until now. I would highly recommend this item and would NOT bother buying most of the cheaper machines online. One more thing, when repairing discs, try to have a few on-hand that need to be repaired, because you'll end up saving on the per-disc cost due to the price of the solutions.

3AN HONEST REVIEW from EXPERIENCED USER
By ParrotLover
I have owned and used THREE JFJ EASY PRO MACHINES. I still do alot of Disc Cleaning and Resurfacing on a daily basis.I recommend the machine based solely on Cost. There are many superior Disc Repair Machines...however they cost at least 4 times more than this machine. This is a barebones budget solution... that can work if used properly. The Easy Pro is NOT a high-end precision machine. It is a simple idea that can work. The Easy Pro is basically a Motor... that spins a scratched Disc around... so that a Pad can buff it smooth. After trial and error the machine will deliver the desired results 4 out of 5 times. The results will vary depending on your particular machine and the quality of the maqnufacturer's Disc. Surprisngly, the Disc damage is not always the main determining factor! Some Discs, regardless of the playing surface, t will never look or play properly.I have spoken to the Manufacturer several times. The Claims that the Machine can clean 100 Discs with a single White Solution Pad is a flat out lie. The White Buffing Solution will wear out an average Disc in about 20-40 Uses with 2 minute cycles. The Blue Pad will last approximately 50-60 Uses. It seems that each machine varies somewhat. They are NOT quiet. They make a rumbling noise that randomly change in pitch and frequency. The Polishing Solutions are expensive and so are the pads. You will end up spending alot more than 20 cents per Disc. There have been serious quailty control issues with the Easy Pro. In 2009, some machines had defective motors. One machine that I used had smoke spewing from it. When you use your machine you will hear and notice changes in revolutions as it cycles. I do not think that is how the machine is ideally supposed to run...but they all sound that way. My most recent machine lost the entire light panel after only 2 months! I believe it shorted out. Hwoever, it still does what it is supposed to do.PLEASE BE AWARE: There is always the possibility that the JFJ Easy Pro will cause your Disc to Crack along the Ring. Usually it will not extend into the playing surface. This seems to be a random occurence that is likely due to the individual disc construction. If there is a inherent weakness in the Disc...it will be amplified and Crack due to the stress. I would estimate that you can expect this to happen in about 1 in 30-40 Discs. In one period, I had two instances of cracking after doing only 20 Discs. Unfortunately, it is not related to the tightness of the screw. In fact, sometimes the Disc will loosen from the screw!I do recommend the JFJ Easy Pro MAchinne with reservations: At this time this is the ONLY Machine on the Market.... in it's price range.... that can repair a damaged CD or DVD Disc. It is certainly worth the $125-150 price tag. Do not expect perfect results. Sometimes.... no matter how hard you work on a Disc... you will be unable to get the perfect mirror surface. It will cost more to operate the machine then stated and you may break a few Discs.I would ceratinly spend another $100 to $200 for a better Machine. Unfortunately, at this time, in the $125-350 dollar price range JFJ Easy Pro is your only option.

5Talley rings
By ATD
I don't usually go with aluminum rings but I went out on a limb and I wasn't dissappointed. A good fit, look better than most aluminum ones and a good value on top of that.

5A Perfect Match to the Browning T-Bolt Rifle
By W. Zide
These are Talley aluminum rings that are a perfect fit to the top of the T bolt receiver. Color is a matte/semi-gloss finish that is a very close match to the color of the T bolt receiver. Two screws hold each mount to the tapped receiver. A star allen wrench is provided to drive the screws. There are 4 screws to hold each top half ring to the bottom half ring & base. This split ring design makes it easy to level the scope as you can place the level on the lower split half ring to level the rifle. The contour of the rings are a true circle as the scope seats perfecly in the ring without the need to force the scope unto the ring. I use "blue" Loctite Thread Locker to secure the ring screws in place.

5Nice big swiss army knife - 2 thumbs up
By S. Pirk
One look at the design of this ladder, and I knew that my work platform problems were solved. Besides the classic positions shown in the product description, I knew of at least 2 situations where this ladder would be a perfect fit, so I had the camera ready on 2 projects I used the ladder for (See the "customer images of this product" link). The ladder was a perfect fit in both projects that I imagined a ladder like this would be handy for. I won't bother reviewing standard use configurations like a-frame or extension uses. Think totally normal ladder as good as most and able to do things the others have not thought of yet :-)First, the adjustment levers. The locking levers are flush mounted against the inside of each joint, and are set in from the edges of the ladder to keep them from snagging on anything if the ladder is repositioned. To open, gently pull one of the segments apart until it locks into place. To move to the next locking position, simple lift on the latch lever on each side until each locks in the open notch. Move the ladder segment to the next position (it will automatically lock in place) until you have the angle you want.Continue unfolding until you have the structure you want. The wide thick rubber foot extenders make the ladder very stable. This amazing swiss army knife of a ladder should fit any project you might have or come up with. Use your imagination on positions. All locked positions I have found are very stable.

5Great product
By Geoffrey F. Beneze
It's strong enough to hold my weight, but gentle enough my wife can configure it to suit her current use. We're in the process of remodeling and re-plumbing both bathrooms and the kitchen. This means we're fundamentally working from the floor to the ceiling. The unit easily configures to whatever the current need and is solid and stable. I'd been looking at these kind of ladders for sometime before purchasing this one. I should have bought it years earlier!

4compact, lightweight ladder
By B
The big selling point of ladder was that it was compact, folding down small enough to fit into a car trunk. The ladder can be a little difficult to change from one position to another, but that may be because it is new. The ladder rungs are rather narrow. Outside of that, we are happy with our purchase!

4Harris Series S Bipod Model L 9-13" Md: S-L.

Purchased this for my DPMS SASS. Harris is the only way to go for bipiods, its what our snipers use in the Marines. The swivel feature isnt that great. It often comes loose and the rifle tilts, I wouldnt mind having the non swivel version.

4My first Skipper
By Kori
This was the very first Skipper doll I ever got. To this day her hair is still shiney! However this doll has a split in her neck that after 2-4 years of playing, causes the peg that holds her head on to pop apart, so this toy is better suited for OLDER Skipper lovers. My doll sits on a shelf now, with her head pushed all the way down, because her neck snapped apart and then crumbled on top, but I still love her very much.
