A word of warning!!
By Concerned Parent
A word of warning to anyone considering purchasing the Lascal Kiddyboard-Maxi. I had extremely high hopes for this product and loved it for the first few months. At the time, I had four children under the age of 4 and this board allowed me to physically push all four kids in the stroller at the same time (assuming I was wearing one of them in a bjorn). However, after several months of moderate use, the board began to spontaneously disconnect from the stroller attachment, causing my child to fall off of the board while the stroller was still moving. This was very dangerous. When I called the customer service number to report the problem, I asked whether this was a common occurrence. The customer care rep answered something to the effect of "only in New York, where it is cold and people go on and off of sidewalks frequently." She asked me if I lived in a cold climate - which I do. Apparently, cold weather is enough to cause this product to break. I would not risk putting my child on it again and I feel that consumers deserve to be aware of this problem. Proceed with caution.

Good product but very hard to install
By CCYP
If you decide to buy the Buggyboard, you must be aware that Maxi size fits all strollers and Mini size fits small lightweight strollers such as Combi. Check the Lascal website to confirm before choosing.I attached the Maxi Buggyboard to my Maclaren Techno XT stroller and it's the right size for my 4 y/old to stand on. My 4 y/old is not very tall and she needs to stretch her neck up a little while standing on the board to see in front. I'm sure it would work better if she was taller.Installing the unit itself was such a pain because instructions were in picture form and each stroller has a different frame. I had to try about 4 or 5 times before getting it right.... hurt my fingers a little while doing so as the fasterners were quite solid and hard to turn (for good reasons! means that it's strong enough to hold the child's weight).... Plenty of questions popped up while installing this... do I loop around the spring where the stroller closes? Do I loop above the joints? If I do so, will the stroller close properly without cutting the fasterners? Do I attach the board to the front OR the back support frame of the stroller? All these are done via Trial & Error, as the instructions do not mention exactly where to attach the board as each stroller has a different structure. When installing, ensure that you do not block the 'joints' where the stroller is folded... this is tricky!!Once installed, the unit is steady and gives good support for the child standing on it. The space on the Maxi is great!! I figured, if I had a Combi or similar smaller stroller, I would have used the Maxi Buggyboard too, instead of the Mini.I have tested this unit over normal pavements, roads, and even over bumpy and uneven roads, it works great and my child never fall off. If I had to 'reverse', then I'd rather do a U-turn instead of walking backwards with the Stroller attached to the Board. The wheels are responsive enough for U-turns.If travelling with the Buggyboard.... BE AWARE THAT THE AIRLINES CONSIDER THE BOARD AS A SEPARATE UNIT OF YOUR STROLLER.... IT IS NOT CONSIDERED AS ONE. What this means is that you will need to ask for TWO tagging numbers when they store your stroller before boarding the plane. One tag number for the stroller and another for the board!!! I was not aware about this and had only ONE tagging number given to me for the stroller.... as a result, my Buggyboard got 'lost' when I landed. I had to make a lost-luggage claim and describe the whole situation to the airport officer. LUCKY for me, they were able to trace my Buggyboard after 2 days..... Apparently a smart stewardess noticed that the board had no tag, and she produced a new tag for it, but she can't trace the owner. So after they processed my lost-luggage forms, they were able to track me and return the board. (Yes, they do not allow anything like the board to be stored in the stroller basket, so it's considered 2 items!)Good luck in your Buggyboard, hope this helps :)

Excellent! Great for older toddlers/young kids
By Sam
I have just ordered extra stroller attachments for our "boogy board" as my daughter calls it, so we can attach it to all three of our strollers. (the attachments can be ordered at their website at www.lascal.se) We attached it first to our Maclaren Quest. My older daughter turned five and is "too old" for the stroller, but she loves to ride the boogy board. When we are on long walks or long trips to the mall it is a lifesaver. At the beginning of the year we went to Disney (with our 3 and 5 year old) and we were so happy we had the buggy board for the long walk to and from the car and then from the train to the parks and waiting to get in. Even though we rented a double stroller there and gate checked ours, the stroller and buggy board made a HUGE difference when trying to hurry to and from the park - a couple parks are a big walk! Not to mention how much slower kids are when you are walking. And at the end of the day we would have been carrying her if it wasn't for the buggy board.Yes, you do have to reach around them and walk with smaller steps, but I expected that when I bought it and would much rather do that than carry her. :)We now have a ten month old so I ordered the straps which are used to attach the board to your stroller to go on our double stroller so she'll still be able to "boogy"!As for use, it took a while to get the straps on the stroller (maybe 1/2 hour) but once you have them on where you need them you're set. The straps are what you attach the buggy board to. To remove it you click the arms off the attachment to the stoller, then squeeze the button on the arms to move them out so you can take it off. Or you can unlock it with a twist of the wheel and fold it up - it comes with an attachment for holding it up. I usually take mine off and stick it in the basket, it takes 5-10 seconds to take it off or reattach it. It is very sturdy and was not wobbly at all!We love it!
