Solid shoe -- Made in the USA! Runs narrow...

Order a 1/2 size up. This is the perfect boot for an average to narrow foot. Solid, thick leather upper -- slender attractive profile. Thick enough sole to protect the upper from rubbing the ground, even when they stretch from breaking in. Too pretty to come from America -- but it does! Far more substantial then the cheap junk you get from China, and not as fragile as the soft, exotic, but impractical shoes I've gotten from Italy. I've looked very hard and can only find a handful of footwear manufacturers left in the USA -- most of them make a shoe like Redwings or 'nurse's shoes,' and indeed the other styles FootThrills makes are very 'nurse-like.'I love these boots, and will be buying the brown too -- and a pair for a friend. Totally competitive price for a quality boot, all things being equal -- why not buy Made in USA? [Sorry, it's my thing!]
