Product Description
Kit includes: 1) Hoya 77mm PRO1 Digital UV Filter; 2) Hoya 77mm PRO1 Digital Circular PL Polarizer Filter; >>> Both filters include: Hoya USA Warranty. >>> The Hoya Pro 1 Digital Series Ultraviolet UV Filter is a multi-purpose, fine-weather filter that is designed to optimize the photography experience of the digital SLR user. UV filters, which absorb ultraviolet rays that often make outdoor photographs hazy and indistinct, should be constantly fitted to a lens to provide improved clarity and color balance, as well as to provide protection to your lens. >>> The Hoya Pro 1 Digital Series Circular Polarizing (PL) Filter allows you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water and glass, and they also improve color saturation, clarity and contrast. This threaded filter is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds, for example. Hoya's polarizing filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot, and they will provide protection for your lens while shooting. A polarizer is different than most filters in that it is composed of two pieces of glass, mounted independently inside a round frame so that one can be rotated relative to the other. As it is rotated, it increasingly cuts out glare and haze. With an SLR, you can actually observe this change through the viewfinder. Polarizers reduce glare from water, glass, or any non-metallic surface. You can also use a polarizer filter to darken blue skies. Polarizers come in two versions, linear and circular, and autofocus cameras will perform best with a circular polarizer. >>> Hoya Pro1 filters are optimized for use with digital SLR cameras, but they are also perfect for traditional 35mm SLR applications, including black and white photography.

Great multicoated filters
By R. Cong-leton
Purchased these two filters for a 24-105mm Canon EF 'L' and a 10-22 mm Canon EF-S, both of which render excellent images. Less expensive filters are readily available, but do you really want them on these lenses? I do not, as image quality means too much to sacifice for somethimg as minute as the cost of a good filter. Thus far, these have done their respective jobs well; a later trip to the South Pacific will tell the eventual tale.

Expensive, but it's Hoya
By T. Millward
It's a Hoya. Works like it should, but you pay the price for a great product.
