Great sous vide heater

Great sous vide heating element for a DIY setup. Have this set up with a PID controller and it will quickly heat up my 9 quart and 18 quart polycarb tubs in combination with an aquarium pump and is just the right height for a 6 inch deep hotel pan.The heater is grounded, so it shouldn't ever electrify your water bath if there is a short, and it has a fail safe that will shut it off after 2-3 minutes if it's not in water (unlike other immersion heaters, which will blow an internal fuse and become inoperable if they are run out of water).Another great feature is that the metal part that is immersed in the water is actually an aluminum shield that surrounds the heating elements, so your bags won't ever be in direct contact with the hottest part of the unit.

Great heater for the shop if you need to heat up a bucket or pail of water for shop use. Also great for tile setters to heat up water for tub saw. Takes about 10 minutes.
