It has high filtering efficiency, extreme softness, excellent wicking and retention properties and has been approved for use on all types of wounds except third degree burns, and is intended for use in the management of complex and infected wounds.

Great wound dressing for diabetic feet!

My brother has diabetes and often gets ulcers on the bottom of his foot. This wound dressing has been remarkable to keep away infection and to help the ulcer heal. It seems to have made a great difference for his healing process, which although it is still slow, shows steady progress. He daily cuts a small piece of the dressing just the size of his wound, so one 4"x4" piece lasts him quite a while.

Hydrofera Blue Promotes The Healing Other Products Don't

My husbands wound care nurse introduced me to Hydrofera Blue in 2005 and I was amazed that it wasn't just another "miracle in a pad" hype.I've been my hubby's primary wound care provider since 1986 and I've seen a lot of products come and go and have tried 100's of them. So few are at all helpful to him much less healing, but this product really makes a difference.I gave it only 4 stars because of it's normal high price compared to other impregnated colloid pads. His health care provider won't give him any due to the cost so we always have to buy it.The price complaint is no reflection upon this seller (obviously)

My Mom has cancer and a wound left unhealed from the insertion of a feeding tube. The hole would not heal and leaked stomach fluid and bile onto her skin no matter what we did. This rope slips right into the wound and absorbs the drainage. It stayed in place like no other product, also. After a week or so, the wound actually started to close up! I think this happened because there was something to "grow" back around. We are so happy with this and the other Hydrofera Blue products. I really hope others suffering from wounds that continue to drain will hear about this amazing product and have easier access to it than we did!
