It can also be used for playback of your computer's media player or for recording a meeting.The RJ connection allows you to connect to Digital, Analog, and Cellular phones.. Bridging - The Duet Executive will bridge the USB and RJ connections together for a three way call. Expandable - Multiple Executives can be connected together to create larger room coverage on a budget. A Duet Executive expansion kit is required (MT221). You would use one kit for every Duet Executive in the chain - minus one.Custom Sensitivity - A two - two position DIP switch next to the RJ jack allows you to adjust the send level to the telephone which varies from phone to phone. Speaker Out - The speaker out jack allows for use with external amplifier and speaker(s)Its light weight and discrete design make it ideal for hands-free desktop conferencing, while its powerful pickup and speaker volume allow it to maintain a large range of coverage. The Duet provides a quality speakerphone solution for desktop users. It does not require expert knowledge or additional driver installations in order to use or install. Good sound, versatile

The Duet series was recommended by the sysadmin at work for internet teleconferences because it had good sound and worked well with both WIndows and Mac. I got the Executive model because I'm a tech junkie, but I've gotten a lot of use out of the extra features - I use it not only with my Mac for internet calls, but as a speakerphone for my desk phone and iPhone. (It will also bridge an internet call to a phone call.) The sound and echo-cancellation is excellent. If you plug it into a computer it will draw power from the USB, but there's also an AC adapter if you only want to use it with a phone. A USB cable and three different phone cables are supplied and one of these took care of the desk phone but I needed a 2.1 mm to 2.5 mm adapter to use it with my iPhone.

Purchased to use with an analog phone line. Works great. Simply plug it into a phone with a built in ext headphone jack. Sounds like person is in the room with you. Allow a few mins for it to adjust the first time its used.

These units are amazing because they're daisy chainable. We have 3 daisy chained together in our office conference room with 40 people. The audio quality is great and the volume can get suprisingly loud for how small the unit is. It took no time to set up the units and we couldn't be happier!
