5Best shades ever!
By Robin Huggins
I've not owned many pairs of sunglasses, but that's mainly due to the fact that I was 35 before having lasik surgery and being able to wear a "normal" pair of sunglasses. I've always gravitated to the really top notch shades, like Maui Jims, etc. But I saw these, and was looking for a pair of driving glasses, and this three lens set has a pair, so I thought, "why not", and I gave them a try. These are by far the best sunglasses I've ever owned. I was a devout Maui Jim owner before these, but never more. Let me give you a couple reasons why:1. I gotta big head. Yeah, that's right, a big pumpkin on top of my shoulders. I'm 6'2" and 300lbs of good lovin man flesh, and have always had problems with sunglasses putting dents in my temples because my head was just too big. These are perfect for a person with a big melon. I've never had a set that fit better.2. The three lenses! Wow, that is beyond cool. Very lightly shaded blue-blocker type of lens that's perfect for driving or on the golf course. There's a darker shade of brown that I wear at sunrise or sunset, cuts the glare tremendously. And then my favorites, the gray lenses. All three are polarized, which is perfect for me as I am on the boat all summer, and fly RC airplanes year round. These are fabulous for flying my planes as they cut all the glare and allow me to see my planes clearly, without losing them in the sun or in a cloud.3. Semi-wrap-around - the lenses extend beyond the edge of your eye and wrap slightly towards your temple. Hot dang! My car's a convertible and with the top down I get horrible dry eyes because of the air flow across my eyes. Not with these babies on!! I also mow the yard with them on as they keep all that dust and dirt out of my eyes. Really a multi-functional pair of shades!!!4. Price - holy cow, for this price you get in essence three pairs of sunglasses! No way! Oh, I beg to differ, yes way! I highly suggest you be careful when swapping lenses as the frame almost bends double if you're not careful, but swapping the lenses is only seconds to accomplish. And keep that handy lens towel around, it's really great at removing those smudges and finger prints from swapping lenses. In summary, I find myself wearing these all the time, to the point that often times when I go indoors I forget I have them on. I actually do use all three lenses too, which I was convinced I would never do. This is a steal! These are, in one simple word, brilliant!PROS: changeable lenses, inexpensive price, high high quality lenses and lense materials, fit and finish.CONS: really the only one I can think of is the frame when changing lenses. Make sure you follow the instructions, took me several tries to figure it out, as the instructions are somewhat stilted.

3Bolle Vigilante Frames
By J. Sloan
These are the third pair of Vigilante frames that I have owned over several years. I live in Florida so sunglasses are esential equipment for outdoor activity. I ride a bicycle 40-50 miles a week and play tennis 3-4 times a week. These frames are comfortable, stable and offer a choice of lenses for tennis, golf, or driving/riding. Vision is distortion free with adequate wrap-around and protection. My only complaint is with the durability of the temple pieces and nose clips.

5wow! wow! great sunglasses!
By Patrick H. Nguyen
It's always been difficult to find a good pair of sunglasses for me because my head is so wide. But these fit just right so if you have a big head, these work great. I didn't do much research on sunglasses before buying these but I saw a lot of athletes wearing Bolle and the reviews were great.I didn't realize that there's 3 general types of lenses that the Vigilante comes with. This specific model here is more geared for golf which I don't play. Even so, these lenses are just so amazing! I've never had glasses that looked so good! It comes with 3 lenses: 2 types of Eaglevision (shades of brown). one brown is somewhat darker than the other. and 1 type of TNS gun which is polarized for driving. It's like having 3 sets of sunglasses!I bought these mainly because I bike a lot. and this was one of the first sets that popped up in the search engine.I definitely plan on buying the Competivision lenses as I do play tennis. I realize that the tennis version of these glasses are more expensive so I think I got lucky and bought these by accident. there's only 2 sets of lenses with the tennis ones. apparently, the tennis lenses are more expensive. I usually don't wear sunglasses for tennis because I thought it made the ball harder to see. but if they work as advertised, they'll definitely be worth it.If there are negatives, they're minor. one is that the case seems great at first. looks like high quality. has "compartments" for your lenses in addition to your sunglasses. only, it won't fit everything at once. the velcro barely reaches and this is after kind of forcing the issue. the case is just too small. taking out the extra lenses give you a tiny bit extra room.changing the lens takes a little bit of practice and some bravery, as it seemed like a couple of times it felt like I was close to breaking them. now I feel fairly comfortable with it. but I can imagine wearing out the edges after repeated changing. And lastly, the way the frame is built, if you use these for biking, you may experience more wind buffeting that you're used to. there are gaps near the top of the lens and combined with the fact that these don't totally wrap around your head, you can really feel the pocket of wind over your eyes. I've never had this major of an effect with other sunglasses.

Carl Martin Quattro Multi Effects Pedal Product Description:

  • Power: 100 or 115 or 230 VAC 50-60Hz
  • Power consumption: 6 Watts
  • Compression range: from 1:1 to 1:00
  • Gain range compressor: +-20dB

Product Description

The Carl Martin Quattro Guitar Multi Effects Pedal begins with Carl Martin's award winning compressor/limiter circuit with single controls for compression and level. The 2-channel overdrive has switches for on-off, and for selecting between the crunch and high-gain stages, and controls for tone and level. In classic fashion, the tremolo has speed and a depth control. Finally, the vintage style echo has controls for level, tone, repeat and tap-tempo, as well as an on-off switch. No hard to read screens, no menus to scroll through, just set-up and play. One of the simplest multi-effects on the market! There is also an effects loop built in between the overdrive and tremolo effects for that special drive or fuzz pedal that is part of your sound.

5Simplicity, Tone, Quality
By G. Conner
Having had such good experiences with other CM products, I thought I'd give this a try. Glad I did!It has the same quality of Carl Martin pedals, but without any frills. Start with the compressor...I have used the four-knob CM compressor for decades without a problem, and for mission-critical studio work, I prefer the extra control those two extra knobs provide. In live situations, that is usually not necessary. This compressor has the same transparency as CM's other models, but is easier to use. You have only to adjust amount of compression and the level.Drives: These are simple versions of the Rock-drive circuit; at least that's how they sound to me. Again, they have simpler & fewer controls but most of the same great character that the famous Plexi-Drive and Rock drive units have. You get your choice of two, so I generally set one for just a bit of crunch and the other for high-gain soloing.Chorus: This and the old analog TC chorus are the best sounding choruses ever. The advantage of using a dedicated chorus in a separate pedal is merely that if it breaks down, you don't lose your whole sound. Otherwise, this gives you 100% of the lush quality sound and 80% of the control. SInce I have never had any problems with any of my CM products, I see that as a very small advantage. Therefore, the multiple advantages of simplicity, easy set-up and fast adjustment outweigh OCD tweaking capability.Delay: This does everything we typically need except ducking-delay, but you can achieve nearly the same effect as ducking by rolling back the tone knob. When you reduce the high-frequency content of the delay, it seems to disappear into the mix except for rests and quiet passages, just like a ducking delay.Turn the tone knob up, and the delay sound becomes crystal-clear, like a digital delay but without any digital harshness or aliasing artifacts. Analog delays of this quality used to cost several hundred dollars by themselves. The tap tempo allows you to set delay-time instantly.Although I wouldn't recommend it if you are drunk on stage, it is quite easy to adjust the chicken-head knobs with your foot. Assuming you are not clumsy, That means you can adjust this thing on-the-fly during solos or before tunes in seconds. The manual is easy too, but this is so intuitive you don't need it at all. Just plug it in and play. Assuming you already have a good guitar, know how to play and use a good amp, you will get high production-value tone in seconds. It's almost impossible to make this thing sound bad.I like this because it does 90% of what my fancy rack system does, but it fits inside the back of a twin reverb amp. With the amp on wheels, I can roll into any gig with a single guitar and cover almost any pop-rock-country-blues or Jazz sound.Price: I'll let you do the math. True, you can get all these effects and more in cheaper units, but you won't get Carl Martin boutique quality, low-noise, transparency and analog response. Since most individual pedals of this quality cost over $200, getting four simplified pedals in one unit is a bargain. The only difference is you have to spring for the whole shebang at once. Personally, I prefer that method. I have found time-and time again, it is always easier better and ultimately less expensive to get the good tools from the start. It is a lot of fun to experiment with new pedals or arcane sound effects. The cost of individual pedals is usually not prohibitive even for boutique stuff. Over time, the main effects we always rely upon are those included with this unit.If you want to add a special "pet" pedal of yours, no problem. This has effect send and returns. So if you absolutely need a tremolo or other gimmick for certain tunes, this will accommodate those with no hassle. Recently, I had to include tremolo for a gig where we did some old CCR. I used the Boss / Fender deluxe reverb pedal which has the tremolo effect. The signal path is 1 MegOhm resistance and buffered, so any other pro-pedal will respond very nicely. It's just like using a buffered effects loop in a pro amp. You can add fancy reverbs or wahs the same way.Is this the most sophisticated and versatile system? No. I don't care. It sounds great and is easy to use. If I need some extra gizmo for certain tunes, I'll just add them as needed. In the studio, I let the engineer add stuff in post. Most of the time with this beauty, you don't need anything else. The case is all steel and pretty heavy gage, although the unit is light. That's another advantage of putting everything together in one unit. You are wasting less metal and real-estate because you enclose the whole thing in one unit. That saves money on cables and prevents a failure mechanism too.The only down-side I see with this is if you ( or some drunk ) destroys it with heavy footwork or some other stupidity, you are SOL. Since I don't allow drunks to step on my stuff and am pretty careful, I have had no problems. In the studio, I put this on the desk and adjust everything by hand. The rest of the time it stays safely in the back of the Twin, so with that gentle treatment, I doubt it will die soon.Believe me, I have used the most complex racks, pedal board systems and high-end studio gear imaginable. The simplicity and superb analog tone of this are hard to equal and almost impossible to beat. I would not recommend it for heavy metal specialists. Those are a different species altogether. For 90% of popular styles... this is my new favorite toy. It is not a Swiss Army knife, but it has the most important four blades, and they are sharp!

5Love the lenses.
By Nathan Koch
Of all the sunglasses I have tried, the Polarized Sandstone lenses reduce eye strain better than any other. Since it may make a difference to someone else, these fit nicely inside my motorcycle helmet without pinching or pressing.

5Buy them before they are all gone.
By Aaron Mc
Yes, I said they could be "all gone".And would be sad too, because they fit so perfectly. They are surprisingly adjustable given how few pieces there are - nose piece, frame, and arms can all be manipulated easily and will remain solid.(Heat them with a hair dryer and carefully bend to shape.)Out of the box the build quality is striking - not the typical clickety clack of many cheap and even designer glasses. For metal framed glasses, they are surprisingly light weight - easily forget they are on - perfect for driving and around town.Best fit for a medium to large face - for a thinner face they'd probably look unbalanced. For a wide face (like mine), the spring hinges ensure perfect fit and grip without squeezing.During moderate activity, they were quite secure, not sure what would happen in active sports or running...

4Very happy with this product
By Gump_Northeast
I ordered these glasses as replacements for my Bolle's that I lost in a small beach incident over the summer. They were discontinued, but very happy with these glasses. All new packaging and quick turnaround on delivery.
