AWESOME

This is an absolute must-have for anyone felling trees. Even if you are capable of directional felling with wedges, this is just such a useful tool. What it lacks in pulling power compared to traditional come alongs, it more than makes up for with its unlimited travel. It is great for dead branches, both still connected to the tree and those that are hung up in branches....simply get a throw line over the branch, connect to the puller, and then rachet out of the tree (most dead branches will snap and come down). The rope that comes with it is not very high quality, but i have taken down dozens of trees and branches and still am using the origional rope. But, eventually you should upgrade to a higher quality rope (rope MUST BE 1/2" diameter). Well worth the money.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE FEATURES OF THIS TOOL IS THAT IT DOESN'T SPOOL ON TO A DRUM. THEORETICALLY YOU COULD HAVE A 300 FEET ROLL AND PULL WITH ALL OF IT. ( YOU'D PROBABLY HAVE A FAIR AMOUNT OF STRETCH, BUT JUST KEEP RATCHETING ALONG ).
