3Clean design
By DD
The best feature about this fan is its looks. It is minimalistic with a clean, stylish, sleek, and modern design. It also has a relatively small footprint. The 100W mini bulb produces adequate light for my 12" by 12" size bedroom. Unlike other fans that require the blades to be screwed on the base unit containing the motor, this fan allows for the blades to just slide into the base unit and lock into place - a great feature that cuts assembly time. Even on its highest setting, the amount of airflow (air displaced) is not that impressive and hence I strongly recommend that one go with the 52" inch version of this fan that costs only slightly more than the cost of this 44" model. This fan comes with a 3.5" & 6" down-rod but for my 9" ceiling, I would have preferred if the fan also came with an additional 9" or 12" down-rod. The remote is stylish and works flawlessly but I wish there was more space to snug in the remote-receiver in the fan (it is quite a hassle to try to squeeze the remote-receiver in the tight space). The fan has a slight premium in its price to essentially reflect the quality, good looks, and the fact that you get a fan with an integrated lighting in one unit.......with the convenience of the fan and the light being independently controlled by a remote. Bottom-line: If you like the looks of this fan go with the slightly larger 52" version of it as it provides more airflow at only a minimal extra cost.

5Not too small or underpowered
By M. Anderson
I received this fan today (Wednesday) after ordering it on Monday. The fact that it shipped free with Amazon Prime was the clincher. No regrets. It took me about two and a half hours to install, I'm not an electrician, but it was a simple and straight forward process. About half of that time was spent rounding up the tools and balancing the blades (not difficult at all but a little time consuming). I think the one tool that should be mentioned as being very helpful is a wire stripping tool. They supply about six feet more wire than one is likely to use from the motor assembly to the outlet/remote receiver. No big deal, but while balancing on a ladder and working over my head I was glad to have the wire stripper/cutter tool.I almost didn't order this fan because of the review about it being too small with the 44" blades and not moving enough air. I respectfully disagree. I am comfortably being breezed upon as I write this, with the fan set on the middle setting. I have it in a small bedroom converted to an office, 12'x11' and a vaulted ceiling from 8' to 10.5'. Not only would the 55" model be grossly over sized for the room, in my opinion, but I'm glad my papers are not being blown off my desk.It comes with a 100 watt halogen lamp (tiny thing) and for me it is not enough light. The instructions say there is an automatic cutout with anything over 190 watts, so I guess I could still go with a higher wattage and/or use other lamps in the room.In summary, it looks great. It moves air very well in a small room and installs easily if the ceiling outlet is capable of handling the fan weight (mine was fan ready). The amount of light provided is the only drawback for me, so far. I would and do recommend this fan based on half a days use.

5Excellent quality, easy to install.
By Suzy
The fan is far better quality than you can find "off the shelf" at a home improvement store. It was easy to install, has a great remote, and looks great! Quiet too. We love it.
