We ordered this set for our 5 year old for Christmas. He hasn't received it yet so I can't attest to how it will hold up, but it seems to be well built. The directions were clearly for a larger set, but my husband and I were able to figure everything out without any other help. We know nothing about drums. It took us about an hour and a half together to put it together. We thought the set looked great though. Really sturdy and looks like a real drum set. Much better than the kind you'll find at Target or Toys r us. I know my son will love this and as long as we keep those screws tighten, I think it'll hold up well. I'm glad I spent the extra money to get him something that looks and sounds so great.
