4This knife is great but has a few issues...
By Rishi B.
First and foremost I DO love this knife. It is durable, well designed, flashy and very functional. Whoever says there is not blade play in these SOG knives is INCORRECT. There is no blade play in the fixed SOG knives, I do agree with that. And there is no blade play when handling this knife vertically (slicing, cutting etc.) I agree with that as well. I do find however that this knife does have a LITTLE BIT of blade play in the horizontal direction (prying, digging). This knife is 3times as sturdy as the x-ray vision model (I have them both) and feels GREAT in the hand and is RAZOR sharp. My only complaint is that even with the titanium price enumerated SOG knives in general are way too expensive for the consumer base, and although far better than MOST knives on the market there are still some issues that I find with a knife of this caliber. I love this knife and would recommend it for anybody who wants a durable, pretty and sturdy folder, just remember like anything else it is not "PERFECT". It is a very sturdy arc lock system but as I mentioned if you take a silk cloth and try to bend the blade horizontally you will find some blade play and the screws and bolts holding the knife together warp fairly easily compared to the quality of the titanium handle and vg-10 blade. Screws should be more durable so 4 stars from me...

5Unique
By 10Wolf
I purchased this knife because I am getting tired of carrying around my Tomcat 3.0 in a sheath. A big selling point for me was the pocket clip of the new model Vision, the knife being all metal, and the VG-10 steel blade. If I had received the older model, well I would have had to return it. The knife arrived with a razor sharp blade right out of the box. This knife took some getting used to compared to the Tomcat. The Vision is much thinner than the Tomcat in regards to the whole knife. The Tanto blade has additional unique grind lines. I believe SOG did this so that the knife blade being only .125 thick would have the strength of a knife of .150 - .160 thick when it comes to possibly breaking the knife tip.It appears to me that SOG invested much into the knife being very thin, convenient to carry, and a very large blade for how small the knife is. That is exactly what I needed, I always have a knife with me. It is a little more difficult to handle compared to the Tomcat due to the thinness of the knife. With the thinness of the Vision, it still seems very strong. There was no sacrifice in strength with this design. I love the handle. I wish SOG offered the same type of handle with more of their knives. After playing around with my new Vision, until my thumb bled LOL! (that is expected with any new knife for me), then going back to the Tomcat, now my Tomcat feels big and bulky. For a sheath knife and heavy use, I do like the Tomcat better. For convenience to carry, and personal protection, I think I like the Vision better. The Vision is a great knife, it has a very unique heavy duty thin feel to it.Would definitely recommend. A word of caution to those with large hands. It may be difficult to get used to.Sincerely,10Wolf

4Very nice knife
By Wayne Stewart
My only issue is the lack of a non slip surface on the handle but otherwise a very sturdy knife.
