Excellent product

I did a good deal of online researching before buying the Alpen scope. Solid contruction, flawless performance, nicely finished. With a Slik Pro4000X tripod birdwatching and stargazing are fascinating, and the combination is quite portable. Can barely make out Saturn's rings with this scope but it's easy to find four of Jupiter's moons. I wish Alpen had included a finder scope to help find planets. A small criticism is having to adjust the fine focus significantly when using the zoom function. All in all, however, I am very pleased with the Alpen 20-60 scope and recommend it highly.
