2004 jeep grand cherokee special edition
By trinibio
I bought the KYB MonoMax to replace the stock shocks on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition (pretty much the Laredo). 114000 miles on the originals and they were leaking grease and the back end would slide noticeably when going over dips or bumps on the freeway. Although the actual product looks different than the photo ( it does not have the rubber pleated bottom half) it is just straight red and does not have the writing on it.These were fairly simple to replace and the Jeep has gone from 19MPG to just over 21MPG just from changing the rear ones. I did it for the safety, but I will take any help on the gas mileage. The rear does not compress down when loaded with stuff and the ride is a lot stiffer in the back, which is a good thing. The kids like not being "tossed" from side to side so much.

By Ryan S
The factory suspension was well worn and these were installed to breathe new life into the suspension of a vehicle with 65k miles on it.
