The quietest, strongest, most polite helper I ever had.
By Kirwan Fox
Having used another Telpro lift for a number of years, the 138-2, I expected many things to be the same except for the new chain drive which I can raise smoothly and confidently even with big heavy sheets of drywall, without creaking and groaning caused by the old cable system. I found many things had changed from my old standby the 138-2. This lift goes higher without an extension, with no change in loading height from the 138-2, this feature and all the chain required for the winch make the column section much heavier, but unfortunately doesn't increase the weight capacity. The tripod base has a slightly larger footprint, and doesn't collapse as completely as the 138-2 when you want to roll through a door or around obstacles. The winch handle is on the center column, making more room for a man to stand and operate it, rather than the type found on the 138-2 which always seems to be either in the way or inaccessible, and difficult to operate in a small room. Though this lift's winch is clearly a safer and better design, making it the clear choice for working in big commercial buildings with big open spaces and high ceilings, except for it's higher reach I don't feel it can replace the 138-2 due to it's lower price and weight, and greater portability and manueverability.

A must have for serious drywallers!
By Craig Meidinger
I hang drywall for a living. A must have. Very well built. I had the cable version for 10 years and decided to upgrade.
