My son loves it...I'd love him to play with it outside

I bought this truck for my 3yr old son. He loves trucks and he really loves this one. I liked the turning wheels and the dump lever and the description mentioned a rumbling sound when the rear wheels are turned. This is not completely true...this truck in LOUD. Remember when kids put something in the spoke of their bike wheels?? That is what it sounds like.We make him play with it in a different room if we are on the phone or trying to listen to the tv. You really cannot not hear anything over the sound of this truck.

good first Tonka

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter who wanted a "big truck" from Santa. The price was right, the size was right, and the brand was right. I looked around at a lot of Tonka trucks, and other brands, but settled on this for a variety of reasons:1) Plastic means no sharp edges to damage walls or furniture or my ten month old!2) Big chunky parts, including boulders, are easy for small hands to hang on to3) Lightweight and easy to tote from room to room4) Wonderful opportunities for creative play. My daughter hauls everything she can find, has "built" things, and really enjoys this toyThe noise has not been an issue for our home. The truck does make noise but it is not really that bad. We have many other noisier toys in our home at the moment and this truck does not even compare. All in all it's a great toy and I am glad "Santa" heard my daughter's Christmas wish. I would recommend it for younger kids and graduate to bigger and more durable trucks as kids age. I doubt this one will last forever but it will do for the time being.

My son loves this toy

My son is 19 months and usually spends about 5 minutes on new toys before leaving them for the next day. When he got this, he played for 30 minutes before we ended up sending him to bed. This toy is a big part of his life now, and if we're missing keys, cell phones, wallets, etc. we know to look in the back of this truck.
