Close to those I remember growing up near (50 years ago)
By John W. Patton
Bought this fan for its functionality and also appearances. It was sorely needed in a guest bedroon in a old farmhouse we own that gets poor circulation. It is heavy like the old ones I remember as a child, growing up in the South. Mainly, it seemed my great and grandmothers had them. Though the one I purchased is the Chrome, the old ones it is comparable to were all black. The fan is heavy, solid construction. The speeds are variable and it emits wonderful "white Noise". It will oscilliate.Sleeping near it, with all the windows open during a Georgia Spring is a soothing delight.( You'll have good dreams!) And it is powerful enough to help move the limited air conditioning around this summer, at least in the small bedroom where it now lives! Very pleased.

Product Description

Stockpot with lid in aluminium, mat. After "La Cintura di Orione" by Richard Sapper and "Falstaf" by Alessandro Mendini, Alessi entrusted a designer from the new generation with the difficult task of firing the public's imagination by exploring the archaic continent of potness . Stefano Giovannoni, whose style is an explicit reference to a poetry of affections, has brought his interpretation to ancient terracotta pots. Ah, the warmth of familiar aromas in good, big, round pots "with two ears" (as Catullus wrote), here made of functional and practical stainless steel. The Mami series also includes oven dishes and frying pand in pressure-cast aluminium with a non-stick coating, a pasta-set and a pressure cooker, as well as a cutlery service and superb kitchen knives.

Not as advertised
By Alessandro J. Veralli
The product description stated that it was induction compatible. Induction cooktops create a magnetic field and therefor require cookware that are either magnetic stainless steel, cast iron, etc., or else they don't work. A quick test - if a magnet, such as a refrigerator magnet, sticks to the bottom of the cooking vessel, it will work with Induction cooktops.I placed the magnet on the bottom of this pot when it arrived and it fell right off!. Too bad, it's a visually appealing design and would probably work great but not on my cooktop. This is why I only gave it 4 stars.

The product is great. The selling is really disorganized!
By Katherine McCarthy
It has a bit of a funny smell I think will go away and the cushion is fluffier than I would like but it is a beautiful chair and very cozy.
