Rock-Solid Portable Dip Station
By kone
I bought this for my 55th birthday present, and I am extremely pleased with it. TDs shipped it immediately and it arrived in excellent condition. It was packaged/wrapped in think bubble-wrap, and there were no chips of the paint or metal "dings". The unit comes in 5 pieces that assemble easily with two wrenches in about 10 minutes. It sits on 4 rubber "feet", which gives stability and prevent sliding. The unit height is 49 inches. The base is 42 inches. The width of the dip handles is 24 inches.Using the dip station, I found it to be stable and solid. Despite not being floor mounted in any way, it does not rock or shimmy. I am over 200 pounds, and it handles my weight easily. The handles have comfortable rubber grips. They are just the right diameter for a comfortable palm grip. The unit is easily portable and comes in at about 55 pounds. The welds are strong. The cross beam is angled so tha the dip handles flare outward a bit. This gives the unit it's lateral stability. (When putting the unit together, make sure the cross beam is oriented so that the uprights angle out). The unit is painted with heavy duty white/cream paint. Before getting this unit, I did my dips on my kitchen corner counter. Now I have a great dip station that allows my torso to hang free, or I can use a weight belt and add more weight if desired. If you love to do dips, I recommend this unit. The only other unit I considered is one made by New York Barbells. Compare both units before you decide to purchase.konedog

Good station for the price
By Brian Hill
Sturdy, well built, easy to assemble, works well. A couple of things that keep it from getting 5 stars are:- Angled handles in theory allow you to vary your grip width. However, in practice, the rubber grips are only on the very end, and the rest is slick painted metal, so you can only really use the widest width. Not a problem for me, but it may be an issue if you have very narrow shoulders.- The center support is great for boosting up into dipping position, but is also slick painted metal. Use some grip tape/no-skid (like on skateboards) to cover this section and you can not only solve this issue, but you can also use the station for belted calf raises.- If you dip with over 300 lbs (body weight plus plates), the whole thing is a bit springy and bounces you around a little, so you need to be very slow and controlled.Still, this is overall a great station for the price.

Great Dip Bar, Great Price!
By Jon M. Dollard
I am very satisfied with this dip station. It is sturdy, welds look clean and strong, is easy to assemble in about 20 minutes with simple hand tools, appears to be durable, and a great price. For my 170 lb frame it doesn't rock like some dip bars do when exercising and it has a very stable wide base. I plan on doing weighted dips and have no concerns using this piece of equipment. The dip station is very well designed and the bars angle outward slightly as opposed to parallel which allows a user to move up or down the bars and target differnt muscle groups. Another nice design touch are the nylon lock nuts for the assembly bolts which were included with the hardware. Shipping was fast and the dip station arrived in excellent condition with all parts necessary for assembly.
