4Odd Little Glitch
By Sueall
It ran perfectly until I shut if off and moved it to another room. It refused to re-start! Tried a different outlet -- still wouldn't start. On a wild hunch, I opened the front grill, repositioned the paper filter, tried starting it again -- and voila! Started right up as if nothing ever happened. This process of not restarting until I reposition the paper filter has happened four times now, even without actually moving the unit, and I've only had the unit for a week. Perhaps it's designed to operate only with a paper filter in place, and the system is ultra sensitive?? Otherwise, I love how well it works and how relatively quietly it operates. One unsettling surprise, though -- the internal air space is lined with solid styrofoam that is apparently a permanent part of the unit design. When you look down into the unit from the top grill, you see large blocks of styrofoam that look as if they should be removed as packing material, but the instructions say nothing about it and there is no consumer-intended way for it to be removed. Because the styrofoam abuts the motor, this product could release toxic fumes should it overheat.

5Great Air filter, but same as the $60 model
By Dmitry Goldenberg
I own the smaller $60 model and wanted to try this one. For double the price, it is almost the same size. I can barely tell the difference between this one and the $60 model. I can tell the fan inside is a bit bigger, but that's it. Blows about the same, same noise levels....I really like these fans, but next time would get the two of the $60 models for the same price as this one.

5We tested this in 38 states..so far
By L.D, Wright
We travel full time in a 45' motor home (bus type) If you are familar with this you know dust collection is a big problem. We also change enviroments (pollen and spores) almost on a weekly basis. My wifes alergies are severe and the HEPA filter has been a life saver. We use this one in the front (kitchen and lounge area) and have the smaller 30090 model in the back, our bedroom. We tried two seperate IONIC machines but they have small fans and removed less dust so we returned them. Do to her respiratory problems we were also reluctent to use the IONIC machines based on the health warnings.
