fits...works...easy enough to install

After I had crawled under my Subaru 2008 my brain went blank, the instructions were not very detailed, so I considered having it installed by a mechanic. But I was determined to save the cost...so I propped up the car for a better look, borrowed the right wrench from my neighbor and went for it. To lower the two mufflers I slid them off the rubber anchors (with some effort). the mufflers didn't drop very far because of some piece of plastic outside cover near the wheel. I located the screw holes for the bolts...everything was where it's supposed to be...it took some effort to squeeze the hitch past the mufflers...it fit like a dream. I needed a long extension for my wrench to be able to reach the bolts.for the trailer wiring I had to reach into the void on the left side of the trunk...there is a plug hidden...Martina

Awesome hitch and $40 cheaper than any others I've seen. It works great for my 2008 Subaru Outback. Fairly easy to put on, only took about an hour. Only complaint is the instructions where a little vague but had a good diagram so it was easy to figure out. Would highly recommend, best hitch for the money.

It came in a torn up box because it wasn't secured well in the box so it rolled and shifted throughout the shipping. That resulted in a few scratches but not bad enough to go through the hassle of returning. With that said the overall product is just OK. The welds are sloppy and resulted in some sharp metal burs that cut me in the installation. Also the product is different than that pictured. I installed it on my Subaru Legacy and it does hang pretty low and scrapes occasionally.
