Attention if your Escort is a '96!

This convertor fits 1991-96 Escorts with the 1.9L engine. Very well designed part. Just put it side by side with the factory part and you'll see. BUT if your car is a 1996 beware!!! It fits on a 1996 but the fitting towards the outlet is an EGR fitting for 1991-95 Escorts. The '96 has a second oxygen sensor there and will not fit in the EGR fitting. I was very lucky that my friend/mechanic was able to cut the fitting from old convertor, grind down the EGR port, and weld the O2 sensor fitting in. But would still by a Magnaflow convertor over other brands any time!
