4Good Fit, needs gaskets & bolts
By Randman
This cat delivers as promised. I changed out the old one and replaced the O2 sensor. No more check engine light. I only gave it four stars because it really should come with gaskets and bolts. If you're going to do this yourself please go to your Honda dealership and buy the two gaskets required, they're about $10 each. Assuming the converter is old and rusted, you will not be able to reuse them. They're round hollow rings and are most likely rusted into their slots, one at the end of the flex pipe leading into the cat and one at the exit of the cat itself. Same with the bolts, the converter I replaced had the studs welded to it and could not be reused. Go to the hardware store and buy six sets of 3/8" x 1 1/2" long bolts & nuts (another $10.)Also, it's highly recommended to replace the O2 sensor when replacing the cat. I bought the Bosch 13071. This turned out to be about 6" too long and is probably the correct part for the one in the manifold. I just put a loop in it. The correct sensor is probably the 13075. The reviews for the 13075 have people complaining it's too short. I assume they tried to use the short one meant for the cat in the manifold.

4Nice replacement for Honda Accord 2000 !! Check Engine Light Is Gone !!
By Chakky
I have never written a review online for any product but I thought I should write one for this.. I am a newbie with car parts/repairs... I got my check engine light on and it was the damn P0420 on my 2000 Honda Accord. I took it to Firestone and they quoted me $450 for replacing the catalytic converter.. Pepboys quoted $400.. But Pepboys was ready to get this installed for $95 with taxes.. I researched for a long time and decided to buy this and install in Pepboys..Yes, this does not come with the bolts and necessary gaskets. I had to spend another $20 to buy the gaskets from dealer shop. Then, I took my car to them with the converter and gaskets... They installed it in few hours and gave me a call saying that its ready and check engine light is gone !!!But they gave me back the existing honda heat shield and asked me to take to a muffler shop to weld and fit it.. I took it to a muffler shop and the guy there said that the heat shield will not fit this.. Later the muffler shop itself had this part (brand new) and he showed me the heat shield that's already on it.. I am giving 4 stars because of the heat shield info being not clear and the mechanic also asked me to go to a muffler shop to weld it !!But, overall, I think I am good !!Hope it helps someone...

3It's the right part, but what about gaskets? And warranty? Hmmm.....
By Gary from Ithaca
Got my Magnaflow after-market replacement catalytic converter by UPS about 10 days after it was ordered. I live on the east coast and it came all the way from the other side of the country, so the lag time is understandable. It's a good thing this wasn't an urgent repair for my 99 Honda Accord, but then I could have requested overnight shipping for an additional charge; that's on me. It seems to be a quality after-market replacement part, and the price was in the ballpark with what I could have purchased locally. It fits the car exactly the way it's supposed to.There are two issues, as far as I'm concerned:1.) This cat did not come with the gaskets that are supposed to be installed between the two flanges on the cat and the corresponding flanges on the exhaust pipe. Total additional charges from a local supplier: $11.oo, plus my time to drive into town and back.2.) Warranty: after-market parts, especially cats, are notorious for going bad. In fact, this is the second one I'm installing. Although some paperwork came with this cat, parts of the paperwork were missing, and there's no invoice to make it clear who, exactly, I purchased the part from. There is a return address on the shipping label, but it doesn't correspond with where the part was shipped from.Hmmmmm....
