BLTL-53 consists of Model TL-50, Model TL-51 and two large padlocks in one convenient package. Model BLTL-50 is precision-made of aircraft aluminum and will not rust. It features a 3/4 inch heavy-duty steel locking pin. Fits Hammerblow, Stallion, Superior and T.E.M Gooseneck style couplers. To use , simply install the narrow end (looks like a goose's neck) over the coupler bracket near the handle. Bring the wide opening of the TL-50 into position over the wide part of the coupler. Insert the pin into the hole that offers the tighter connection, then install your padlock. Secures the adjustable top part of coupler. Fits all gooseneck style round or square tube designs.

Does the job, BUT:

It does block the hitch nicely and would surely deter the casual, opportunistic thief. However it looks like a simple tire iron or prybar would easily defeat the cast aluminum frame. The same for the bolt lock in the set. The chinese made locks included are saticfactory for the job, but sure aren't the quality of the equivalent Master locks.Overall it does the job it was designed to do, but I don't think it would stop a semi-determined thief.

great way to secure gooseneck trailer

I have a Gooseneck brand trailer and wanted to prevent it's theft. The Blaylock setup enables you to lock both the hitch and one of the bolts to prevent a thief from removing the hitchpost and inserting his own. The locks are a made in China but seem adequate. I had to do some grinding on the hitch istelf to make the device fit on my hitch but once I had that done, it fits great.
