Maxxis ADvantage Mountain Bike Tire (Folding 60a, 26x2.4) Product Description:

  • Opposing parallelogram with aggressive side knob
  • Front or rear

Product Description

Alison Dunlap designed the ADvantage as a high volume aggressive cross country tire that corners great on big side-knobs. It also climbs and brakes with authority thanks to the opposing parallelogram center tread design. Ramped center knobs keep rolling resistance minimal and the wide lug spacing sheds mud easily.

4great, if a bit heavy
By slcpunk
I have used both the 2.4 and 2.1 version of this tire. I think the 2.4 is the best front tire ever. It is not a racer's tire. I guess for lack of a better term, its a good "all mountain" tire. This is a good tire if you find that you get cuts and tears in your tires. Its tough, has big tread and LASTS FOREVER. Easily the longest lasting MTB tire I have ever owned. The 2.1 is not even close to the same tire. It wears faster, and the knobs are much, much smaller in comparison. I would like to try to 2.25 and see if its a happy medium or not. My other favorite tire has been the Kenda Kinetics 2.3, just for comparison. They are cheaper, but wear much faster and are not as big either.

5Agressive and durable for rugged riding!
By Moab Mutt
As a longtime resident and rider of Moab Utah (and an old pal of A.D.) I can attest to this being an essential tool for handling the trails here. I've been riding this tire (the 2.4) for about 4-5 years. Be aware that I have to replace these once a year since the rock strips/eats rubber. (YMMV)I was recently sold on another tire, since my bike shop ran out of the ADvantage, and the performance of the Scwalbe (2.35) pales in comparison. When it comes to performance and safety while riding in the desert don't skimp on yer tires!
